No-one tells us how deep this lake is, or how soft and muddy the bottom. Will they be taking waterproof metal-detectors down there, I wonder? Brrr...

**That put it closer to the ground then some distant satellites and sent off alarm bells ringing in some Russian circles about this being the time for joint global action on the space safety front.
“Instead of fighting on Earth, people should be creating a joint system of asteroid defence,” the Russian parliament’s foreign affairs committee chief Alexei Pushkov wrote on his Twitter account late Friday.
“Instead of creating a (military) European space defense system, the United States should join us and China in creating the AADS—the Anti-Asteroid Defense System,” the close ally of President Vladimir Putin wrote.
Astronomers have detected some 9,500 celestial bodies of various sizes that pass near Earth. ** Mr.Pushkov took the words right out of my mouth!! Instead of being STUPID and fighting each other, WOW!! The human race has this kind of COMMON enemy, and I think we, ALL OF HUMANITY, should work together to protect our planet!

I hope they find the meteor ... or what's left of it. I'd like to see what this thing looks like ...

I hope that apprehend that meteorite and punish it appropriately.
How many people are being mobilized just to find it or a piece of it? I can't imagine anything more important to do at this time.

Edojin, guess what bro, YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE!! Call me a nerd, but I also really wanna see this rock flying from outter space and kaboom, crashing into our blue planet. Anybody else here who really wants to see pictures of these meteors, let Edojin and me know.

That meteor is really scary. I am only glad that nobody got seriously hurt or passed away. Poor Russians, it is so cold there and not having glass must be terrible.
We should protect ourselves:
First: stock food for at least 4 weeks
Second: Stock drinking water for at least 8 weeks
Third: Install a meteorite-deflection device for only 99,999, - Yen (until stocks are exhausted)
Fouth: Cross your fingers that it misses you

You could easily drive a truck thru that hole.

Apparently there are two holes, that one at 8 m across in the ice, and another of 6 meters across on the shore.

After seeing the videos on you tube I'm really thinking about getting a dash cam for my truck.
