I hope they get the needles out of the boy so he can recover and they subsequently insert them into these idiot's brain to improve the function of it.

This is unbelievable that this father would do such a thing. It's not that voodoo isn't practiced, but to do such a thing to the child.

She was in a trance. He wasn't. How could he in his right mind do this? But I guess I just answered that. < :-)

The rituals were performed over a period of a month to try to keep the couple together, the stepfather told police.

I guess they were working. But now that the rituals have stopped....

Voodoo and other old witch-doctor rituals make people do really stupid things. Personally I like religions as long as they have some sort of wisdom or good moral views, apparantly his religion doesn't.

LoveUSA-so was it ok for the father to torture his kid for so long? Of course I wouldn't really do that to him even if I had the chance. The statement was made only to emphasize the cruelty of what happened. Judgement of the father should be left to God. "Vengence is mine, I will repay sayeth the Lord".
