“He felt and he expressed to me on numerous occasions that he had been made a scapegoat of the counterculture movement,” Kennealy Morrison said. “He was out there doing what he did, making himself a really easy target because he felt very strongly about it. Unfortunately they decided to go after him for it."

Some also believe they went after him because of statements his father made.

And this matters why? He's been dead how long? Does anyone truly care? I suppose if you're a hardcore fan of the Doors...

I like the Doors, but not particularly interested in their private parts. The story does however disprove a woman's side of the story as having been at that concert and claiming that Jim had a "small one". She might have been there, but it now appears that she couldn't see "anything", for there was nothing to be seen^^.

Exactly. It's not like there's going to be a tribute or concert praising him for his contributions lol. Some of their songs are passable I guess.

What an irrational statement! You don't think?

He should have moved to have the charges dismissed, perhaps on the grounds that they were made up!

The pardon just gives more credence to the charge! Now it sounds like he did the deed, but was forgiven, because he is fricken Jim Morrison!

Not really sure why anyone would be so upset about seeing a penis onstage anyway. Americans really need to learn to chill out.

Heh, those guys were so zonked I can't believe they even remember the concert. All lot of people here in Paris still believe he was found dead on the toilet in a popular club....

Well, the rumor did make major headlines a few years back when a supposed witness (the guy managing said popular club in '71) came forward. Although, he was peddling his book, too.
