And can his next "shot" be one to the head? What an assclown.

Why is that felony child abuse? Child endangerment maybe...

Too bad - he will undoubtedly have his custody rights taken away. And as bad as his parenting skills are, it seems like these 2 are very close.

That's the last weekend at Dad's she'll have for another 9 years. Mom's attorney and the court will see to that. Though I can't help but wonder what the mom is like.

Alcoholism grabs everyone involved, by the throat.
It robs children of a childhood, and adults of dignity and peace of mind.
This man got off lucky, with a wake up call.
I hope this little girl will learn not to confuse her love for her father, with his behavior...
Probably an average woman who doesn't want her daughter's life to be at risk, for any reason.

He'll get into some trouble. It'll be a story they can share later on though. They'll be laughing about it.

If only she had been flying an airplane instead, everyone would have cheered.
She was driving good. Probably better than some people here. And her dad was teaching her some skills!

Oh, and love the headline! "Made" her drive! Not had her drive, or let her drive, but "made" her. Probably had to pistol whip her to "make" her. Yeah, okay.

Sure, NetNinja - it's always funny 'til someone loses an eye....

From what I've seen of such cases, the ex-wife is no prize either.

More likely he'll lose custody and won't get to see his daughter. And nobody will be laughing.

No dad should be buckled in front of his nine year old. Yet as a lifelong petrol-head, I'd have surely driven a car at the demand of a parent at 9, badly I would imagine, but for sure I'd have had a go.
The girl in the story must have been quite adept, certainly she's driven a few times before, possibly even certainly a natural if the story has any credibility.
Stick her in a 100cc kart, see how she competes.
And have the fathers brain removed and placed in a car. Parenting should be licensed like driving!

Nothing against the girl, but her daddys stupidity amazes me.

When I was nine, I never got to drive a van with a Starsky & Hutch paint job. That would have been the coolest thing ever back then.
(You would have to see the gas station surveillance video.)
