Obviously the Dubai debt problem was caused by Barney Frank and the American far-left forcing banks to lend money to poor Arabs who can't pay it back. Obama and those damn Democrats at it again!

Let investors speak lies and lose money. Ordinary people should consider new proverb: "Nothing ventured, nothing lost" !

well so far I have managed to invest without losing a penny. how do you do it? don't get greedy. Dubai funds offered great returns but far to much risk for my liking. slowly slowly wins the race.

It always was a fatah morgana. The wealth of the Middle Eastern Arab countries is based on sitting half of the world´s oil... apart from that, they would be medieval, feudal, sharia-ruled sand pits.

international lenders will take a second look at investing there and in other Gulf countries with a history of a lack of transparency.

About time these lenders (=speculators) become aware of what they are getting into and what the result of their actions are.

Should be interesting to see how 'donations' to murderous, misogynist, medieval scum like the Taliban and Al Qaeda are affected.
