Kiev is creating another Gaza.
Scrote
The Russian-funded terrorists could always surrender, then the siege would be over.

Putin probably made all kinds of promises if they fought. Now he's abandoned them.

They were surrounded on the west, hungry and no ammunition. No supplies coming from Kiev for this group. Plus, the militia promised safe travel to Russia to all who surrendered, but they had to leave the heavy weapons intact (double bonus!). Very honorable for I'd say considering Kiev has been bombing civilians and town.

Kiev may lose the good will of European governments if they don't stop copying Israel's tactics and blasting everything in sight. Kiev and Russia are to blame for this. Russia lit the fire and Kiev is adding fuel. I have no sympathy for the pro-Russian rebels though... I am convinced they brought down the airliner.

Rebels are shelling Luhansk too...

"Yelena Gaida, 46, is one of the many thousands who have managed to get out of Luhansk.
Speaking in Donetsk, another rebel-controlled city 90 miles (150 kilometers) west of Luhansk, Gaida said she is abandoning her three-room apartment and plans to head for Russia
“Almost half the city has fled already,” Gaida said. “Every day they bomb, shoot and kill.”
Gaida was dismissive of the separatist cause.
“Yes, we have our Luhansk People’s Republic. But life there is impossible,” Gaida said. “Who needs it anymore?”
Thanks a lot, separatists and their Russian backers, thanks a lot.

I still don't understand why it had to come to this in the first place. Before this civil war broke out there was a protest against a pro-Russian leadership. So the man was driven out of office. And then someone got it in their fool head to start using guns instead of diplomacy which was still available until the pro-Russian folks started taking over government buildings. And all that has lead up to what we have now.
TheQuestion
Huh, apparently being under siege is lousy. Who knew?
I don't know what the people expected. These guys were sent in to secure Eastern Ukraine and prep it for annexation, they were never intended to operate independently. Now that Ukrainian government forces are closing in and support from Moscow is floundering they can't do much but cause a scene and pray their Ruskie superiors send in some 'peacekeepers'.

Burning Bush, what proof do you have to support your claims? Remember the rules....photos can be manipulated, so can video and audio, statements/comments are just hearsay, etc.
Enjoy.

Sorry - about "annexation"
Independent Ukraine - before Russian Empire was a small state - a little bit bigger as modern Hungary
Modern Ukrain - is a ex - Soviet province
Donbass - NEVER was populated by Ukrainian
It always had Russian population about 8 millions Russian
After coup d'etat in February 2014 in Kiev Ukrainian nationalists come to power
So the civile war starts
On the one side Ukrainian Army and NAZY from National Guard
on the other - Russian militias formed from LOCAL people of Donbass
How it was possible to counterbalance whole regular army of Ukraine ask you ?
1 Ukranian are very BAD soldiers
2 Russian are exellent in this branch of human activities
TheQuestion
Gee golly, then the Russians probably shouldn't have signed the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances to preserve it's current (including Crimea) borders eh? Sounds a lot like the Russians only care about ethnic Russian populations and historical boarders when former satellite countries start stepping out with other trade organizations.
I had no idea that Russia, Chechnya, and half of the southern oblasts were part of the Donbass! Good to have native born sons like Vladimir Antyufeyev leading his countrymen! Oh wait, he's from Novosibirsk a few thousand miles away...and a Russian OMON officer....huh. Almost like the leadership is primarily made up of imported Russian agents.

At that moment it was most important thing - to take away nukes from Ukraine
Just imagine - today failed state deep in crisis and in civil war has a lot of nukes
nightmare
And Ukraine refused to give away Soviet nukes located at its territory
It was classical Ukrainian blackmail
Most of them are from Donbass
But as soon as Kiev governement declared a Ukrain for Ukrainian and a war " against Russian" - a LOT of volunteers come from Russia
It's normal
Is it possible that " Russian agents" come to Germany or UK and start a civil war ?
And you see no troubles when EU & US citizens coming in Ukraine to take part in this civil war ?
When US special agents & military coming ?
TheQuestion
Frankly they probably should have kept hold of the nukes since Russia apparently had no interest in honoring the agreement. But that would imply that the Russian Federation government is made up of two faced liars looking to prey on a weaker neighboring country and we know that's not the case.
So the recruiting stations in Moscow are just there to sell cookies right?
Olegek
US & UK also have signed this agreement
And US & UK never recognised Ukraine as independent state - only like colony
The reason for civil war in Ukraine very simple : US took decision to take Ukraine under direct control
Yanukovich (legitimately elected president of Ukraine) in November refused to sign Euroassociation
So EU&US take decision to punish him (legitimately elected president of Ukraine)
So West never has any respect toward Ukrainian state
After the putsh (organised by US) legitimate government was overthrown and pro-American puppets were assigned
And of course Russia has absolutely no respect toward US puppets playing role of Ukraine governement
Yes my friend : US have destroyed democracy in Ukraine and whole Ukrainian State
