The USA should stop all aid at once. The "new" Egypt is no friend of theirs! Second they should stop all military sales to Egypt.

It is nice to see someone finally putting their foot down and challenging the machinations of the creeps at the DNI and IRI. The guys at these NGO's are foreign revolutionaries, little different from the Soviet Comintern agents of the 1920's and 30's or, more recently, Lori Berenson, the American who tried to help overthrow the government of Peru in the late 1990's. She spent 15 years in a prison in the Andes. Let's hope these guys get at least 5 years as a warning for other wannabe crusaders for "democracy."

As for Egypt's $1.5 billion in aid. Please remember, low information voters, that money comes as part of Egypt's peace agreement with Israel. As part of the deal Carter brokered in the late 1970's, Egypt gets $1.5 for remaining at peace. Israel gets roughly $3 billion (naturally). Cancel the $1.5 billion in aid and Egypt may as well cancel its peace accord with Israel and move troops into the Sinai.

If Bush were still in office these charges would be easier for me to believe.Doesn't the speech from Cairo (I don't have to say who gave it) count for anything?

I only hope a secular Christian group who manages most economic affairs takes over and NOT the muslim brotherhood or salafi who are both not ethnically Egyptian Modern day NATIVE Egyptians are Coptic Christians.

How many millions of dollars will be spent to get these people out of Egypt.? Talk about economic stimulus, this is a classic, for Egypt. There is already 8 billion dollars going to Egypt with no strings attached. Americans who choose to go to these places for whatever reason must accept the consequences.

The people of egypt will very gratitues america and her supports in the campaign to topple 'Murbarak' last year and adopting western liberty and democracy as a showcase of all Arab people and the movement will greatly influencing China and Russia....etc. this is what Hillary believes and she always believes! The fact said the 'otherwise'....infact it was a 'bite back' and a spit over face!

The Egyptian people support these non-profit groups for their support of them during their fight for democracy. It's the old guards at the Egyptian government who are looking for a witch hunt.

I wonder how much of this aid the generals and leftover Mubarak cronies are putting in Swiss bank accounts? How much of it actually gets to the Egyptian people? If the generals are so upset that some NGOs are operating with "foreign funds" perhaps they would like to operate without any "foreign funds" themselves? Yep, sounds like a good opportunity to save some money. And if the generals want to move troops into the Sinai let them, the Israeli's have all the software keys, believe me.
