The family probably had someone else lined up for him. Goodbye trouser snake. Brave man there! A hot knife sounds a bit radical. To sterilize the knife(?) rather than to cauterize the wound, I would guess. But perhaps that is why reattachment didn't work.

Copt or muslim, what nutter cuts his prize off over a denied marriage. There a plenty of of hot babes (caste aside) that I would have loved to married and I would never consider wacking off my winky to piss off my family. This poor guy obviuosly took his family's approval way too seroiusly and is going to regret that action forever.

I remember another couple who eloped.

aday has a point there. Remember that poor couple that tried to elope in Pakistan under Taliban controlled territory? While I certainly would prefer to die next to the one I loved, this may have been a way for him to say, "I took away the only thing that proves my manliness, what else can you do to me?"... Sucks hard for him though. It ain't gonna grow back and the doctors can't sew it back on fully functional again.

Be glad that you live in a country that you can say to hell with what the family thinks about the person you love.
