Sheesh... awfully close to home. 13 people is way, way too many for one vehicle unless it's a bus. And since so many died it's likely they were crammed in without seatbelts.

This is very scary, so sad for not just the victims but for all of their families and friends up there in Canada. RIP

Elbuda: I was reading about this in the Toronto Star and it was saying that most of the people in the van were migrant workers, so who knows where their families are. It's still under investigation as to what actually happened to cause the accident.

Yes, it was a 15-seat passenger van like those commonly used for airport-hotel shuttles.

According to the Star, some or most of the passengers were wearing seat-belts, as the story described responders having to cut them to try and rescue the victims.
