I'm fully aware that these days, that what I am about to write is unpopular opinion, so thumb me down all you want, but I support Russia's laws protecting minors. First of all, sexuality is something to be kept private. Secondly, if one lacks self control, the children must be protected by the state. Leave kids out of LGBT affairs.

And there for a brief moment, I bet that made Elton's little putin stand up.....

Elton would be better off visiting Obama - the first gay president in American history. I'm sure he would welcome the singer and his boy toy to stay the night in the White House. He would make him feel at home by lighting up the peoples house with the colors of the gay rights movement.

Magnet:

Yeah, I did thumb you down.

First of all, sexuality is something to be kept private.

Yes, straight couples should not be holding hands in public and say they're an item.

Secondly, if one lacks self control, the children must be protected by the state.

Yes, people like Jimmy Saville and Gary Glitter were/are gay.

I suppose you support ISIS too. They know how to deal with the LGBT community. Have you ever thought about living in ISIS or Russia?

Elton should stick to writing songs. and singing them. But no more concerts. another old geezer who goes on and on, which is fine but not live.

I'd love to have a talk with Putin too. But Russian society appears to be stuck in machismo mode, and machismo don't like homosexuals. Reminds me of a Russian gal (of course she was sexy hot as most young Russian ladies are...) I dated for a little while and she was complaining about a female acquaintance of hers getting up in her business. Now she claims to be Russian Orthodox Christian, and I let her know she can easily rebuke her friend if she's not interested in that kinda thing, but I also reminded her that Jesus says, "He who has not sinned may cast the first stone." and she should understand that God in charge of judging sin, not man. Leave people to live their lives as long as it's not causing physical harm to others.

I remember hearing somewhere that Putin stated that Russia will be a leader in "protecting" Christianity. Sounds a lot like the Islamist approach in my book.

SuperLib Why are Russians so afraid of gays?

Just not respect them.

Alas, poor Russia. It must be tough being a once-great and now third rate power.

Crazy Joe is right.

Putin has got to be a latent in the closet.

That's one effed up powerful dude.

Elton John still wants to speak to Putin on gay rights

“Pranks are funny. Homophobia, however, is never funny,”

Elton is also funny..

Elton John said Thursday he still wanted to talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin about gay rights after he (Elton John) was duped by an imposter.

Putin did not talk to Elton John.

Putin never talked to Elton John.

Putin has not indicated that he wants to, or needs to, talk to Elton John about any subject.

A prankster made the elderly Elton John appear to be a wee bit senile.

This is not news. It's just sad.
