I think Desmond Butler should stick to puff pieces because this article left me with little information about the opposition and what's changed/ing in Turkey.
What opposition forces? What do they want? Why did people vote against the AKP?
What about #3 and #2?

I think a huge amount of credit for this should be taken by a few brave foreigners who have actively campaigned against Erdogan on Facebook. Unsung heroes!!

That is positive news, but the islamist AKP still has demographics on its side and will come back with an Erdogan replacement. The big picture still looks bad for Turkey.
