Despicable. It appears the Democrats will always have a Ted Kennedy-like figure among their most influential, keeps the bar low enough for the others.

You are right. Because it makes Republican Mark Sanford who lied to his office and family abandoned them and fled the country to Argentina to be with his lover. Republican John Ensign who came clean about his affair with his aide because her husband was trying to black mail him. And Republican Vito Fosella affair which produced a 3 year old child. Don't forget your last presidential candidate who had an affair on his ill wife, all look like Saints. Most of this came out within the last year.

Republicans and Family Values hypocrisy at its best.

Good point. It did come out. Got lots and lots of mainstream media play.

Quite unlike the revelations independent bloggers and the National Enquirer (!) had about Edwards cheating on his cancer-stricken wife, fathering a child by a woman who gets around like a bong at a Phish concert, lying about all of it and able, obviously, to count on the mainstream media covering for him for an entire year.

Edwards sure fooled a lot of people. I was never for him politically, but I thought him a little better than this. He disappointed... < :-)
