I hope these Chinese miners can learn from Chile, get some kind of miracle.

Interesting to see what, if anything, will be the world reaction to this as compared to the Chile drama.

China had its own stunning mine rescue earlier this year, when 115 miners were pulled from a flooded mine in the northern province of Shanxi after more than a week underground. The miners survived by eating sawdust, tree bark, paper and even coal. Some strapped themselves to the walls of the shafts with their belts to avoid drowning while they slept.

I mean, this sounds increadible, but I never heard anything about it.

115 Chinese Miners "Rescued" Monday April 5 2010,115 Chinese miners were rescued from a collapsed mine they had been trapped in for 8 days. Their only food was bark and straw that floated in the water that had flooded the shaft they were trapped in.

In related news the Miners have returned to the mine citing better living conditions underground
