Don't worry about this guy. When his time comes, all of his victims will be waiting for him. Like the scene at the end of the "Titanic" movie, but in a bad way.

I shook with anger when I read that patronising quote. I wish that our (British) weak government would show some backbone and finally wash our hands of this relationship with the US government. The Spanish and the French governments have proved that they put the safety of their nation before any economic deal with the US. I cannot say the same of my government.

Unfortunately that was his prognosis with the National Health Plan care. Now that al-Megrahi's away from there he'll probably live to 100.
It is pathetic that Gordon Brown is hiding, too scared to make a comment.

Fatally stupid mistake. The more I think about this scandal the more I firmly believe the powers that be in the UK basically have told Muslim terrorists all around the world that life is now as cheap in England or Scotland as it is in places like Libya or Iran or Egypt.

What an idiot. What makes you believe that British lives are in some way better than a Libyan or Iranian or Egyptian life ? They should use your quote as a prime example as to why the Muslim world has no respect for the west and an example why young disaffected Muslims conduct terrorism against the west.

It must be pretty insulting for Muslims to hear you say that terrorists speak for them, especially since terrorists are killing a lot more Muslims than Westerners.

Hey northlondon - What makes me believe that British lives are in some way better than a Libyan or Iranian or Egyptian life ?
Nothing.
That is your interpretation.
What I believe is that the English used to regard life much more dearly. With this travesty of justice I believe the Muslim world has been shown that England has lost that value, and life is now as cheap as it is in the Arab world that the prisoner came from.
You say the Muslim world has no respect for the west. Why did you bother to twist what I wrote then?Sounds like you're a guy who had already made up his mind .

You just said it again ! I can't believe that you just said it again and yet you are still denying that you stated that lives are cheaper in the 'Arab' world than in Britain ! Incredible.

Hey northlondon,
I said LIFE is cheaper in the world that the mass murderer al-Megrahi comes from. You have some serious comprehension problems. Or maybe it is denial.

Macasskill needs to sit down with every family member and explain why this scumbag al-Megrahi gets more sympathy and compassion then the 270 victims on that plane ! The vast majority were college students hell bent on making the world a better place. They chose to get educated and see the world. al-megrahi chose destruction, mayhem, and terrorism for his life work. And for those of you trying to mae this an anti-American thing... stop ! The Scots are also up in arms and are looking for a way to toss Macaskill out on his "Macass" !
