In 2010, after returning to Lufthansa, he was sent to the U.S. for flight training.

If anything the FAA needs to look into their policies better. Lufthansa knew all about this pilot, but was willing to take the risk. Maybe the FAA needs to ban Lufthansa from the US skies until all their pilots are "vetted".

I wouldn't sue the flight school, I'd sue the employers. Pretty misguided thinking here.

“Lubitz’s particular history of depression and mental instability made him a suicide time bomb, triggered to go off under the ordinary stresses of life, particularly the kind of stresses a commercial pilot routinely faces,” said Marc S. Moller, an attorney representing the families.

That's a bit much. Severe depression = suicide time bomb? Let alone murder-suicide time bomb.

It's pretty easy to sue here in USA compared to other nations is my guess.

Honest, Mark - same idea here. However, since the airline is the owner of the flight school - which is headquartered in America - I guess it does make a perverted type of sense.
