I'm willing to go along with just about anything they want....as long as there is oversight. Up to now, they have not shown that they are willing to operate with that kind of oversight. They need to show us that there are checks and balances in place and that those checks don't amount to more than rubber stamps. Then we can start talking again about allowing access or not.

Agreed. Bollocks is the term I'd use. A publicity stunt for Apple and bedfellows at the FBI.

-I highly doubt this statement. You can get the data off these too if you really want to.
Most interesting part is the the FBI is claiming service in regard to the pass codes/encryption of these phones when in fact Apple, Google et al were unlocking the phones for them at the FBI's request until the FBI demanded a software solution to unlock these phones and Apple declined the Federal court order to do so.
