So the FBI wants to read everything we type using SNS, even among friends?
Scary stuff.

The way I look at this tool, is that this may work two ways:
So, why won't the FBI hire the SNS developers directly, instead of hiring outsiders who may even do some damage?

I would be surprised if they didn't already have access to their firehoses. They just need better mining, I guess...

After 9/11 the USA will never be the same, and if AlQaeda supporters are on Facebook etc..sure just let them enjoy freedom of speech?? KABOOM! No, I would rather that the FBI monitor potential terrorists before they get away with any more evil acts of terrorism.

I'm sure they've already done it, and are now trying to make it legal. Still, I don't envy the agents given the task of going through gobs of drivel in an effort to find any terrorist threats, or even anything all that interesting. Imagine! You're sitting at your desk at the new division, and someone brings you 700 links to potentially threatening cat videos. After the first eight, I'd be thinking about a transfer.

And then, within a few months, people would be gaming Overseer program (gotta call it something), just to see if they can get a couple of agents to come to their door. This would be a lot of fun for 15-year-old computer nerds in particular.

Big Brother has been watching internet activities for a long time. This will just give them another legal way to get into our thoughts ...

It's amazing...all this technology...that is to say they are doing all this and watching us and watching everything we do, type, say, etc, etc ... but NO ONE can stop spam mail, junk mail, computer viruses, etc, etc. Unbelievable!

If this helps stop terrorists I'm 100% for it!!

The OccupyWS dorkfests featured thousands of arrestrs, and at least 9 murders, in addition to rapes and assaults. I guess the Obama admin is worried that the Dem convention might go all 1968 if they can't micromanage that as well.

Why not just team up with the Brits who announced something similar after the riots?
