Funny, because that is EXACTLY the way it is here in Japan. Only the outlaws have guns. Yet, so little gun crime here. Odd, isn't it?

Washington DC has had the strictest gun laws in the country for 32 years and yet it has one of the highest gun crime rates. Odd, isn't it? Actually, it makes perfect sense. Why don't you think about it for a while and you'll understand why comparing the US to Japan is nonsensical.

Ah men. Silly macho boys with little weenies.

YangYong - I sure hope you're a woman because I'd hate to think there are men this feminized here. :-D

Take out the Righty's irrational hatred of Democrats and Liberals, and what do you get?

"Fears lead to boom in gun sales"

Fear rules these boobs. Boy I'd like to talk to them in a year or two time when they wake up to an America where they still got their guns and religion, and maybe even health care to boot.

What fools these Righty's be. -- Shakespeare

The boom in guns sales described by the media just happens to coincide with hunting season. Geez, you think there might be a connection there?

I doubt any new legislation will be coming from the federal side - the states that still allow gun show sales between private parties without background checks can eliminate that through their own legislation. The federal government can help by providing more money to U.S. Attorneys to prosecute "straw sales" and unlicensed dealing.

You have mentioned it numerous times on JT

Best get used to it, because from your reaction, I plan on doing it a lot more.

I wouldn't be surprised to see another raft of gun control laws being pushed through. Though there are quite a few conservative dems would wouldn't support them, I doubt many of them would stand up to Pelosi and Reid.

    Are Bible sales up too?

I myself believe in gun control. I do not believe anyone should be allowed to buy an AK 47 or any other type of military arsenal.

I hope that one day these types of weapons are taken off the streets and out of the hands of the nutz.

"The Turner Diaries" Read that piece of crap. This book is was and will be a Nazi dream.

    Are Bible sales up too?

Nah. They give one away with the purchase of a new shotgun and box of shells.

    Are Bible sales up too?

Yes, especially the kind with a gun shaped hole in the pages.

Why would a terrorist be against guns?

That brought his mother, the camouflage-clad Rachel Smith, to Bob Moates Sports Shop on Thursday, where she was picking out that special 20-gauge shotgun—one of at least five weapons she plans to buy before Obama takes office in January.

His mother runs around in camouflage wear in a sports shop? I hope the salepeople were able to see her okay... Some people think if the have more guns, they are safer...seems a bit insane to me, but whatever..maybe it will boost the economy.

instead of a AK47 you should really look at the VZ58 first -and consider getting a CZ52 (in the heavy hitting Tok 7.62x25!!) to pair with it.

The 50Cal is really overkill when you have the Lapua .338

I guess kids don't buy the Red Rider BB gun anymore.

You really should get out more (but leave the guns at home).

Is it me, or does this all come down to an argument between grown ups and a bunch stuck in permanent adolescence (who all happen to have been born in one particular country)?

The stupidity of people never ceases to amaze me. Maybe it will some day. Maybe not. If guns are banned in the U.S., people will just find something else to kill each other with. It's not the gun's problem. People who are in prison for shooting another person or who are una-bomber crazy should not legally be allowed to own guns. You and I know they'll find a way to get their hands on a gun anyway. It's not the guns. It's our culture that's dangerous.
