The Truth Matters
Huntsman is playing chess in a field of checker players and in front of an audience that thinks tiddly winks is too sophisticated.
Poor sap doesn't stand a chance.

Does Romney ever say anything of substance? He is phoniest of phony politicians. It's obvious and the majority of yokels can't see it..

Best and truest line uttered in a Republican campaign since I don't know when.

Good grief, what will the United States be like after another 4 years of Barack Obama in the White House?

Almost back to what it was after Bush took over from Clinton. Republican messes like that take a while to clean up.

Obama hasn't improved anything since taking office - even the partisanship has gotten worse (which is hard to believe but true). The only thing Obama can accomplish in two terms is twice as much debt than in a single term ($5 trillion -> $10 trillion). Seems like a nice guy, but awful president. Like Jimmy Carter on steroids.

A whole lot better than if any of these idiots won. I'd like to hear just ONE idea from any of these guys instead of the constant ad-hominem attacks. I'm starting to see why some people like Huntsman above the others, by far, but I agree he doesn't stand a chance because he tries to appeal to the intellect, whereas most Republicans succeed by appealing to base, almost instinctive, calls for blood.

Wolfpack, there is a world of difference between deficits accruing due to structural reasons and those caused by policy action. The vast majority of the additional debt accrued during the Obama administration was from the former: a slower economy brings in less taxes and occurs additional expenditure. Policy items such as Bush's (unpaid-for) prescription drug plan are lacking in the current administration. If you can, please name one permanent initiative of the Obama administration that has greatly affected the deficit.
Oh - and regarding partisan vitriol: facts are important. You seem against Obama simply because you're against him, as your unsubstantiated claim shows. Gingrich made me laugh when he criticized Obama for being "imperial" while in the same breath criticizing Romney for being "timid." Mah - politics. Still, you can choose your opinions, but you can't choose your facts.

Also, here is a handy chart supporting the above: http://www.nytimes.com/imagepages/2011/07/24/opinion/sunday/24editorial_graph2.html?ref=sunday
In a nutshell, additions to the debt due to Bush policy changes: $5.07 trillion; those due to Obama: $1.44 trillion as of 7/11.

Clinton skated in on the smooth ice made by Ronald Reagan. Since then, it's been going to slush.
It's time to rev-up that Zamboni, again... Say buh-bye, Obama.

Pamelot,
Clinton came into the Presidency on a Reagan/Bush recession. And massive debt as well due to tax cuts for the rich. Facts. Look them up.
Amazing how living in the Fox news bubble distorts reality.

Obama has achieved things wolfpack, seeing them however, requires removing those duct-taped partisan blinkers....
Ok, ok....so many Americans don't care about how the rest of the world sees them, but that is pure foolishness and Mr Obama has indeed restored a partial image of the intelligent America that his un-couth, illiterate predecessor litteraly dragged through the sewer.
His performance hasn't been what many expected, but over-expectation is as easy constant complaints that he hasn't a amgic wand to wage and fix the ills of sever decades of poorly regulated capitalism run amok.
Not one of the conservatives candidates are credible, the only one that is genuine is nothing more than a tail-ender in the race. That speaks volumes about the state of NO, the party who's one and only policy is obstructing the opposition...
What it boils down to, is that allow this is a waste of time and money. Whoever finally gets the nomination is always going to lose to Obama.
I presume if there are any thinking heads left at the GOP, they're far more concerned as to who will be challenging Hilary in 2016.

Truth Toilet,
None of those so called "Tiddly winks" voted for Obama. That in itself launches them into the cognitive elite.

"Republican messes like that take awhile to clean up"
Oh yeah, I keep forgetting, it's going to take all of Obama's two terms to clean up the Republican messes!
If, by the end of Obama's second term, the mess is still with us, it will be clear that Republican messes take more than eight years to clean up! If the mess is worse ( the debt situation and unemployment are certainly worse ), it will be clear that Republican messes not only take more than eight years to clean up, they get worse before they can be cleaned up!
