Proud, stoic, and mentally broken, apparently. Republicans! Think how being surrounded by those 'pinko' ideas might have re-conditioned his psyche...

Can you risk a case of Stockholm Syndrome in the White House, with an Alaskan Nationalist second it line? How conservative are you, actually?

Poor old McCain, the guy deserves a nice quiet retirement. He's earned it

I'm sure the McCain camp will eat this one up to show the great war hero he was, part of the campaign strategy."

Yes, they will. However, I suspect the Obama camp will find something to haggle about it.

FnC: Poor old McCain, the guy deserves a nice quiet retirement. He's earned it" Then he should have retired a long time ago. Should be a mandatory retirement age of 60 for politicians. McCain, Kennedy, etc... we just keep getting stuck with these people.

Just bacause McCain was a POW doesn't make him presidential material.

I don't think Obama will have much to say, if anything. < :-)

    Previously unseen footage

...in a can marked "Do not open 'til nomination."

Just bacause McCain was a POW doesn't make him presidential material.

No one is saying that just because McCain was a POW it makes him presidential material, and we've made that clear to you over and over. Yet you keep repeating this same statement. Perhaps, at 54, it's you who should retire since it appears dementia is setting in. < :-)

  • adaydream at 01:01 PM JST - 12th September

    I did retire.

You wouldn't vote for him for this reason, that's absolutely great.

    Have a great day. < :-)

  • Helter_Skelter at 01:19 PM JST - 12th September

You wouldn't vote for him for this reason

I am voting for McCain in November and his service to our country and his character as a POW is certainly one of the reasons. Not to mention keeping that socialist elitist pinhead out of office.

    I did retire.

    Thanks for sharing. I'm relieved.

No one is saying it, but some are sure thinking it.

Only the more foolish of us ever doubted McCain's bravery as a warrior. But we don't need a brave warrior today. We need a smooth talker. A negotiator. We need a man of peace. That man is not John McCain.

this IS the guy that broke under torture and made traitorous remarks about his country, right?

(Not saying I wouldn't do exactly the same thing, cos I would)

  • Nessie at 03:07 PM JST - 12th September

No one is saying that just because McCain was a POW it makes him presidential material, and we've made that clear to you over and over.

Actually, lots of people are saying that.

  • skipthesong at 07:43 PM JST - 12th September

So, if McCain wasn't running for president, how would you feel about his service and capture?

I think too many people are choosing this election based on who they like and not what they like about them.... like a bunch of Hana Montana fans.

  • adaydream at 10:22 PM JST - 12th September

I personally think John McCain served this country admirably. I do applaud his service, his dedication and after the election I think he will continue serving this country as the honorable senator he is.

I understand there were another 600 prisoners in the same POW camp that John McCain was in. May we take a moment to thank them for their service, also. < :-)

  • frontandcentre at 12:18 PM JST - 17th September

Funnily enough, the same people who argue that McCain deserves the presidency for being a war hero are those who tried to pretend that the current President wasn't a coward and deserter during the same war...how consistent...

McCain needs a long healthy retirement, not an early grave presiding over the decline and collapse of the USA

  • Alinsky4prez at 12:37 PM JST - 17th September

McCain, like other prisoners, briskly walks up to salute and shake hands with U.S. military officers. Although only 37, he has prematurely white hair. Then the prisoners are seen walking to a U.S. plane.

Joe Biden has hair plugs.Real bravery!
