Isn't this a story line to the sequel of "Nothing But Trouble" starring John Candy, Dan Aykroyd, Chevy Chase and Demi Moore?

This isn't funny. It's a damn abuse of power. And the idiot who did the shooting.

    And where the money at?

I fail to see the humor I quess. < :-)

Government by the people, for the people at work. Why should a citizenry be fearful of their own police force? How can a man shoot an unarmed man in a court of law and not be charged?

Glad i'm in Japan, not BF Arkansas.

You better tell me there was a guy named Boss Hogg and Rosco P. Coltrane in the mix. That story just made my day. What a laugher. Except for the guy who got shot in the ass. Get well soon.

Usually I bitch and complain about non-world news items being in the world section, but I have to admit that this one is well worth the price of admission. Bravo, Arkansas.

Unfrickinbelievable. Undoing all the progress Clinton made in that state.

"Unfrickinbelievable" hits the nail right on the head.

Still, I wouldn't exactly call Jerico, Arkansas a repository for America's best and brightest. More like "bottom of the barrel."

Sounds like the entire police force, along with city administration, needs to be brought up on extortion and racketeering charges by the US Attorney General.

This happens all across America. They call it the middle class tax. The courts are just as guilty, plea bargaining off the points, in exchange, taking only the money for the fine. Its an assembly line. The excuse that the public defender gives is broken speedometer. I heard a judge tell a guy that they don't make Porsche like they used too, as his month old one already had a broken speedometer... Huge waste of our time and money.
