This "manhunt" is irrelevant. These two are not lone criminals, they are simply following strict Shariah. And in their mind, Shariah law supersedes French secular law as a matter of course.

The question is, if France and Europe will take a clear stand against Shariah law. I am not optimistic.

This will end in a shootout somewhere in the woods. Let's hope no further casualties apart from the 2 brothers who probably seek a martyr's death anyway.

There you have it. More right wing hysteria.

Look at the facts DanMan, look at the facts. WilliB is correct. These two murderers are likely in a network of Shariah French citizens. Evil barbarians meet modern world.

Not too sure about the Sharia law stuff, but for sure these 2 Muslim terrorists brothers have been BRAIN WASHED somewhere, radicalized and now these 2 terrorists think that by killing the French Christian magazine reporters etc..that they have AVENGED the honor of their religion and blah, blah, blah, now the QUESTION is what will not only the FRENCH, and not only the rest of EUROPE but the rest of the world will do fight against TERRORISM??? Last year it was CANADA then AUSTRALIA, and now in 2015 we are starting with FRANCE, great start for the Muslim terrorists???

Elbuda, I do not think the French magazine reporters were particularly Christian and certainly did not represent any one religion.

These two brothers have undergone a type of mind-warp that takes away their humanity and makes them especially dangerous to anyone who does not think the same way.

(Somehow reminds me of the Boston marathon bomber brothers, where one leads the other.)

Christian religion of reporters here is irrelevant to the attack, only the prophet cartoons seem to have been the trigger but Charlie Hebdo was as much satirical on Christians (it not more) than on extremist Jihadism ( and I am not writing Muslim in purpose). Global Jihadism have killed a lot of Muslim in the world.

I wonder how much the fact that they were orphaned at an early age and raised in a children's home had to do with this.

Not looking for excuses, just reasons.

Elbuda Mexiko:

" Not too sure about the Sharia law stuff, "

But you CAN be sure about the Sharial law stuff. Shariah law is very clear that insulting Mohammed is punishable by death, and that is applied wherever Shariah law is applied. (E.g. in Pakistan it is stated under article 295c of the criminal law.

Muslim countries in the UN are pushing hard to implement similar laws all across the world.

Again, from the brother`s point of view, they simply applied the law... their law.

The entire civilised world stands shoulder to shoulder with the French in their hunt for these two terrorists. If these barbarians and their like have a hatred of freedom of speech and democracy - and believe in shariah law - they absolutely should be rounded up and taken care of.

@WilliB

All religions have an extreme side. A genuinely fundamental Christian would give away all his/her possessions and follow Christ. Almost nobody does that.

Most Muslims don't go out and kill infidels.

True Lucabrasi, most don't kill, but Shariah in Europe and the Americas do not fit together. It should not be tolerated. We have modern progressive societies. Shariah is very degreesive to the modern world.

In related news, the suspects in the shooting of a policewoman in Paris the other day have now apparently taken hostages in a Jewish shop in Paris... one man was said to be armed with two machine guns. So that's the 12 murdered at Charlie Hebdo, the police woman... and if reports are true, two killed during this hostage crisis in the Paris shop. Two hostage situations... linked?

Thunderbird2 In related news, the suspects in the shooting of a policewoman in Paris the other day have now apparently taken hostages in a Jewish shop in Paris... one man was said to be armed with two machine guns

So Paris is not so secure as it should be?

What about French police and special forces ?

French government does not control it's own capital ?
