As we had a town wiped off the map here a few years ago by a tornado, my sympathies

These types of freak events have been noted with increasing incidence in recent years, and many attribute that to climate change.

If there were "obvious" proof, I'm afraid that the situation would be much, much worse.

The system has more energy (heat) and more matter (moisture), that is a combination that increases entropy and spurs such events with higher frequency than normal.
