The Globalists are trying to save it -but this criminal Mubarak regime will fall. Maybe even a new committee Gov model for the Middle East will be implemented. It seems the people are doing everything right while the Gov is doing it wrong and losing power by the day. Many people in the Middle East (and all over the World) are closely watching these people take back their country.

This is the ObamaChange that was promised it seems.

closely watching these people take back their country." Yeah, but if it falls under the Muslim Brotherhood rule, all will be lost. Unless of course you are a MB supporter..

They are winning the future and changing history, evolution, basic human psychology and international relations.

Yeah, but if it falls under the Muslim Brotherhood rule, all will be lost.

What does that even mean? If people want to support the Muslim Brotherhood, that's their right. But the people of Egypt should be able to decide the future of Egypt, even if you or I disagree with that future.

The people of Egypt especially the young people want a future, one with a job, dignity, love and an opportunity to pursue their passions. The repressive government has stripped away their most basic rights and the opportunity to elect their leaders. They're looking to have their voices heard on issues that so directly impact their future, like their environment, jobs, and the rights of women and girls. It's not about a single religion or war with Islam; it's about basic freedoms, about politics and economics. Many Egyptians suffer from abject poverty and are at the frontlines of these challenges which include massive unemployment rates, rising food prices, a lack of freedom of speech, and basic access to healthcare.
There is no underestimating the power, that the internet and social media, like Twitter and Facebook, have had on allowing young people to communicate and share their stories. In a society where their is little freedom for anyone to make their voices heard. The intersection of two powerful forces-social media and young people showcased the power of the human spirit-to-rise against oppression. I think that young people should educate themselves on the Middle East, its people and its culture. Far from being relegated to the images of war and uprising we have seen in the news because this is a region that has made contributions to art and civilization and culture and knowledge and even hip hop.

I am confident everything will work out.It will be different this time. There is a reason Barack chose Cairo as where he would address the Muslim world. And I think we don't need to play up the whole Facebook thing. This is actually just good old-fashioned people power.

    Novenachama,

    Good post.

And while Egyptians live in poverty, with soaring food prices, Mubarak has 70 billion dollars and his relatives and friends are all filthy rich. Time for him to go.

This guy is an executive at Google. I am quite suspicious of Google, so I wonder if he will keep his job.

There is no happy ending on this one.

What do the anti-American and anti-israel ppl on this site fear the most?

Do they fear Egypt basically proving Bush and Condi Rice and Tony Blair right by choosing democracy?

Or do they fear all hell breaking loose and al qaida (who have been strangely quiet on this) joining with local islamists, killing tens of thousands like they did in Iraq, and leaving no doubt as to who civilization's biggest enemies are?????

What I fear is what is happening.

In another article/site I read that the "Protesters say: We are the Goverment now." but so far no leader has emerged even from some of the parties that are in talk with the goverment.

I reckon it is going to go explosive soon and things will take a turn for the worse.

This really is not about Israel or the US. -This is about the people of Egypt and their right to governance. They are declaring their right(s) and the Gov is saying (forcing) that they do not have the right. The people are winning this battle as should be expected.

=this criminal Gov will be forced out, but every available person may be needed to protest at Cairo peacefully.

The Gov wants chaos/attacks/terrorism to put more tyranny in but the Ghandi approach is winning this battle. Food is an issue though and is a big reason for the Gov stall approach. =Time is not on the people's side.

Why do people need to frame everything through the lens of terrorism? This has nothing to do with al qaeda, or Iraq, or terrorists. Nothing.

This is a beautiful event, in spite of those who died but even more so because of it. This man and this country are pushing to be free. Free of Mubarak, free of the USA which has bankrolled him for so long and charge a new path.

Note these are not extremists or even religious goals as the main group involved are under 40.

I wish Mr. Ghonim well for the future as it has all the possibility in front of it now.
