What 2 years suspended sentence ? Another corrupt system dealing with its corrupt leaders.
Chirac should spend his remaining years in prison for this, but I guess the corruption is so far spread that even that would mean a 5 star hotel not a concrete prison cell.

Bollocks to Mitterand. His socialist policies are the rotten fruit of today's out of control and bankrupt nanny state. Chirac and his cronies merely skimmed in comparison. Just like Pasqua, was anybody really expecting Jacques to see the inside of a gaol?
We're supposed to be thankfull that prosecutors got this far I guess. Personally I'd rather see the courts time put to good use instead of wasting time on show cases of rich old white farts like Chirac or DSK.
