Name a country where prostitution is strictly banned that still doesn't have the problem. Even Saudi Arabia and Iran have it, although getting caught (either the woman or her John) can be fatal. But I would support any law that protects women from being coerced into prostitution -- which is the way it is supposed to work in Japan -- and prosecutes people who profit from the trade.
