Obama has openly supported iSiS/iSiL, "Rebels', "Moderates", "Militia", McCain's Army, Al-Qaeda, Al-CIAada in Syria.

-That needs to stop and the sabre-rattling with Russia needs to stop also.

I agree with Mother Jones for once, although I hope we don’t have to wait until after Labor Day.

Donald Trump Is Doing Pretty Well Considering That He Isn’t Advertising At All

The article is about the meltdown of the Trump campaign Badsey....

And besides you're breaking with protocol there you're supposed to rant about Mrs Clinton when reading the reality about your Republican candidate.

The thing of the ugliest beauty continues....

5 ( +7 / -2 )

They had 4 years to prepare for this election and it was theirs for the taking as no one likes Clinton... the right wing out of touch ageing white bread loons who run this party only have themselves to blame for this situation...

6 ( +10 / -4 )

@Lizz

I agree. A cursory understanding of mass movements throughout history provides an explanation for Trump's popularity and the loyalty of his followers, primarily angry white males who've not been particularly successful. It's unlikely many of them will change their allegiance: the die hards see him as their last hope.

For me, a grandfather, this election will separate those who deeply appreciate this country, despite its imperfections, and want a leader, no matter party affiliation, who will work to deal as best we can with an intractable world, increase social mobility and fairness among us, reduce income inequality in reasonable and responsible ways, and promote connections among us, using ethnic background, gender, ability, and sexual orientation as essential resources, from those who would focus on self, selfishness, differences among us, and disconnection for personal gain. I accept that Hillary Clinton has flaws, but have looked at them carefully and find none disqualifying for the Presidency. She has served us well already. Her record shows that she will listen to Congress and learn.

On the other hand, I, and so many, many other knowledgeable and reasonable people, including experienced Republican foreign policy and economic experts, find Trump ignorant, unwilling to learn, without empathy for others, narcissistic, and impetuous. Recklessly hurling incendiary charges and untrue statements at others, perpetually making false claims about himself while actually hiding the truth, he is a dangerous bully who should never come anywhere near the Presidency. He will ignore Congress. To our great detriment, he will incite violence within our country on his behalf; he has done this repeatedly during the campaign. And, he will put the world at risk to nuclear conflagration. Don't take my word for it. You can read his words and look at videos of him in action. The evidence is there.

Trump is toast. But what will the republicans do? The clock is ticking...

“We’ve always found it’s wise to have people traveling with him, because it’s an opportunity to have him engaged and not just sitting there,” Manafort said.

LOL

2 ( +5 / -3 )

While it is refreshing to witness some Republicans refusing to endorse their official candidate, one should also keep in mind that the circumstances than enabled Trump to float to the top of the GOP heap have been brewing for decades.

A decided lack of respect for facts and truth have been a hall-mark of Republican strategy since the days of President Bill Clinton. Giving lies the sort of respect that is normally reserved for a serious discussion made it easier for a scam artist like Trump to hijack the GOP primary. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on one's point of view, a campaign based almost entirely on lies will not be sufficient to win the general election. At least not this time. I hope.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

“We’ve always found it’s wise to have people traveling with him, because it’s an opportunity to have him engaged and not just sitting there,” Manafort said.

A restaurant placemat and a few crayons used to suffice for my kids, Manafort. Try that.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Trump needs to go or lose badly so the GOP can do the necessary soul searching and restore its reputation as the party of sane, rational and honest people who can capture the hearts and minds of independent voters.

Cruz/Carson 2020. Make America spit out its coffee again.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Republicans need to decide if their party is the whites only crowd that Trump loves, including the KKK folks, or something else. The clock is ticking down. The racism imbedded in the republican party is now wide open for all to see, in fact Trump is celebrating it. It has been so for decades but the republicans lied about it, now they cannot as their leader is an outright open racist. Tough call for the party as they used the racist vote to gain power since the 60s. 1/3 of republicans will bolt the party if Trump is dropped. But the party is unelectable now to the broader US voters. This is a country versus party issue. Sane republicans need to decide.

“We’ve always found it’s wise to have people traveling with him, because it’s an opportunity to have him engaged and not just sitting there,” Manafort said.

This sounds like a nursing home manager talking about a care plan for an elderly dementia patient.

Maverick Trump vs. Dirty Politician Clinton (married to a rapist). Americans either see that or chose not to.

-6 ( +4 / -10 )

Although Mr. Trump is making a fool of himself I do not think he will destroy the Republican Party. Whether this is good or bad it may have the opposite impact of having a renewed focus and bringing people together....after his loss....

Obviously there are some things the man said that resonate with a percentage of the population. Perhaps the Republican Party should do a bit of introspection and find out exactly what they are. On the other hand....Another day - another Trump article.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

The fact that far too, many americans support this man after all of his crazy quotes (I mean if ANY democrat had said of these statements, the repigs would be foaming at the mouth DEMANDING resignation) shows how rotten the population has become. Watching interviews of Trump supporters is chilling--the rudeness, the violence (hitting people who are holding up pocket constitutions, etc etc) is like watching the story of how 1984's "Big Brother" came into power along with their hate sessions.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

Another day - another Trump article.

I know, Tokyo engr, but as Ferris said, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you could miss it." We haven't even had a chance to discuss Trump's proposal to send Americans accused of terrorism to Guantanamo! That would have been fun. Instead, the zeitgeist today seems to have landed on Trump's recruiting of "poll monitors." Probable illegality aside, if you sign up on Trump's Website, they get your personal info and direct you to a donor page. Sad - Not! Funny!

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Republicans, their representatives, and their voters, are utterly a lost cause that has destroyed the USA. It's really rather incredible. But their media and opinions are so far gone at this point, that even rational argument is against everything they stand for. I suppose it's the mirror of the fall of the USSR in 1991. Finally, finally the fantasies are no longer connected to reality and reality is catching up in real time

4 ( +5 / -1 )

That would be the Democratic party or are you saying now that Dems were the ones that gleefully freed the slaves and Lincoln was an outright racist????

zurcronium was referring to the 1960s not the 1860s. Even a mediocre journalist would have known that. As early as 1962, former candidate Richard Nixon saw the writing on the wall and gave an interview to Ebony magazine in which he feared his party was becoming the "party of whites." Goldwater's opposition to civil rights legislation and the racist "Southern Strategy." confirmed his fears.

So, you are saying, ALL Republicans are racist and you determine that by

No. A competent journalist would have clearly seen that the statement read: racism is "embedded" in the GOP. Not that all people in the GOP are racist.

Trump has given voice to the worst racist elements in the party. He has replaced the dog whistle with a bullhorn. The routine worked great within the "whiteness" of GOP primaries. Trump took the sheets off and outdid "Little Marco," "Lyin' Ted" and them all. Now he's facing the general electorate and even loads of Republicans are turning away him.

You mentioned Mia Love's name. She's a Haitian anchor baby -- the type that Trump and his supporters absolutely hate. She wanted nothing to do with Trump and the GOP convention. Her state of Utah may end up going blue, and I've got to believe she'll be working against Trump too. Mormons had to deal with white supremacy in their history, and they're largely repenting of it.

I predict that some of JT's Trump defenders are someday going to be posting how they saw Trump's bigotry and withdrew their support of him early. I know that day has not happened yet, but I'll keep careful notes when it does -- as the inevitable landslide approaches.

Yet ANOTHER bent " article " attempting telling people "Oh, give up, he can't win ". WE know what's good for you.

Sorry, but the libs always had advantage wise the MSM on their side for the most part. But Hillary should be enjoying herself, she has 98% of the media on her side, I don't know what you're talking about. You can't get more derisive and bias than the media and their one-sided bias political slant

WHAT? WHAT? Bias? Are you kidding me? The TV and radio media have been falling over themselves to give Trump every single opportunity to get his message out--cutting away from traditional and important civic events to "highlight" the new nonsense out of his mouth and then GIVING endless time for his minions to rationalize and explain it all way. Sanders was the one who was IGNORED, and never mind his 10,000 plus attended events. You repigs whine and whine about Trumps coverage but he has only his own words to blame for his lousy polling figures. When you slander and mock disabled people, mock minorities, and make it PERSONAL by going after individual reporters and Rosie on the View, you do not have a politician, but a mafia figure!!

8 ( +8 / -0 )

she has 98% of the media on her side FOX? Rush Limbaugh? Washing Times?

Fox News Having Highest-Rated Year Ever; Tops Cable Primetime So Far

According to recent news article. No, Trump has lots of backing too. In fact he has more than Clinton so it is in Trump's favor.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Stick a fork in him, he's done.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

“Based on his campaign record, there’s no chance he’s going to win,”

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, too funny! A year ago his presidential bid was considered to be a joke, and he wound up getting more Republican votes in history.

And this is interesting: "Will media continue to ignore latest Clinton controversy?" ( Fox News, of course )

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Trump will win,,,,Fox news is great,,,,,Can t wait to see Clinton in jail

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Also, this is interesting; "Biggest takeaways from the Clinton economic agenda" ( Fox News )

In a nutshell - her agenda sucks.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

"A year ago his presidential bid was considered to be a joke"

It's now beyond a joke.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Some suggestions for The Republican Party: 1. If you do not unite behind Trump, vote for Hillary 2. looks into the legal possibilities if Obama's tenure can be extended till "qualified" candidate is found. 3. Do not read Media reports.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

I wonder why!!

Trump it's nut's.

His idea to hand more money to corporate company's is insane.

As it stands corporate company's / corporate welfare programs are getting $2.2 trillion dollars. Why would you hand them more for?

What that means is America could cut it by $1 trillion and employ $80 billion dollars pa in workers.

That works out to be about almost 7 - 8 million people on $650 a week in wages including them spending money creating demand and jobs.

That their would half the jobless rate.

Spend the $2 trillion and everyone would have a job including some people that lose their jobs.

Donald J. Trump How is giving the rich biz going to create demand?

Demand is more people spending money seeing more sales = demand =ing jobs made.

No possible way you will create job's handing the money to big biz...Joke.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

What does it say about the Republican party when the guy who wins their primary, the guy who is supposed to be their best prospect for the White House, is now so toxic people are calling for him to be abandoned 3 months from the election? And he won out of a crowded field, but he's still completely unprepared for the campaign.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Just wondering if to any extent that Trump is bored with the idea of becoming President. It just that not a lot of the messages from him seem serious or lucid.

About the Obama-Clinton-media conspiracies, I suppose there is one night of the week they all met to conspire at someone's house on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC.

Hillary's new campaign sloan: Laws are for peasants

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

"There is no Trump platform. Just tyranny."

Don't forget allowing bigots and racists becoming empowered to come out of the closet.

Racist pride day with racists dancing on floats wearing bedsheets could become commonplace post-Trump.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I lost count already on the number of times Trump has used the "I was being sarcastic" excuse when backtracking on an idiotic comment made. He must think Americans are stupid and will soon forget all his gaffes.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

The GOP has been getting things wrong for well over a decade in a big way, their mainstream views are now to far off reality to ever prevail, but they are too daft to realize it. And yes the GOP has its racist aspects, they have been pretty good at hiding it with coded phrases etc by trump has really brought it out of the closet so to speak, front & ugly centre!

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Trump got 9000 people in Pennsylvania yesterday. LOL This MSM BS is getting thick.

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

Fizz bit: You mean where he went back on his "I'm being sarcastic" comments?

"When I said that Obama -- and of course I’m being sarcastic. And they know that. Because after I said that, I said he’s the MVP. So I said, the founder of ISIS. Obviously I’m being sarcastic. Then, then -- but not that sarcastic, to be honest with you. "

So, is Trump being sarcastic and the MSM being bias, or is quoting him as "not that sarcastic" when it hits a firestorm again going to be... bias? You guys just can't win with this guy, can you? it's pretty funny. And when you can't win with this guy you can't win with blaming the media, either, because Trump then goes back on his claims that he was being misrepresented in the media.

hahaha.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Smith, the Trump conundrum is like Schrödinger's cat - except, when you open the box, you find it's been empty all along.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

9000 that's a lot. Let's see how much the MSM will print or will they just continue to focus on just piling on Trump. I know most of them are desperate for ratings, but this is ridiculous!

-12 ( +0 / -12 )

So some Republicans are turning their backs. . . No biggy. Look at all the Sanders supporters who've left the (D) party. Trump has only been a politician for a year & half, yet he beat all those republicans. Haters gonna hate. Meanwhile crooked Hillary has released her taxes in an effort to divert attention away from her email scandal. The media's n' her pocket.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Somehow I don't think so. Quite the contrary. The GOP can turn their backs like Wc said and that's their choice, but I think it's more pathetic to even allow a woman that disrespects the constitution and would sell the country out to further her political gains, financially as well.

-12 ( +1 / -13 )

9000 is a lot. And the republicans who are bolting are the elite establishment types. You know, the cronyism ones who love our one party system.

@northernlife

Who are you to decide this. As far as I'm concerned, your no better than the warmonger Hillary or Obama.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

SerranoAUG. 14, 2016 - 01:03PM JST Also, this is interesting...

No. When a news outlet produces exactly the kind of report you would expect from them it's NOT interesting. When Fox dumps Trump it might be interesting. When whatever you call the MSM has a serious go at Hillary Clinton it might be interesting, But Fox attacks on Clinton? (yawn)

3 ( +4 / -1 )

When, Oh, when have the MSM EVER been hard on Clinton? They never have been for the last 35 years, they have sheltered and protected and backed one of the most sinister families to ever grace the White House and now it's FOX fault for doing their job and holding her feet to the fire. Hillary always contradicts herself, if she really thinks she is so innocent and misunderstood, if she is really that confident, she would go on every show on FOX and I'm not talking about Greta, sweet lady, but she's not going to push the envelope with Clinton, she tried to dance with Wallace and that was a disaster for her in the trustworthy poll. She won't go on Hannity or O'Reilly, compare that to Trump, he's been literally on EVERY show on EVERY network, can't even keep up. Whatever you think about Trump at least he has the guts to go toe to toe and appear on every show and he's quick to respond back when you call him. Hillary, NOT even close, she won't let you ask certain questions, you can't get near her, many shows have to sign a disclosure and promise NOT to ask her about certain issues, seriously?? Who can trust someone like that? You can't get shadier than that. Again, Trump is not perfect and he's not a Washington insider, that is his biggest appeal, he's made a bunch of blunders I get it, but it's time the MSM plays fair and puts the focus on Hillary and her shady and questionable dealings with foreign leaders and how that, her foundation and the DOJ are all lumped in together.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

So, is Trump being sarcastic and the MSM being bias

Who cares! I don't. Let the election play out. Would you deny the MSM is bent for Hillary? The point is, Trump gets 9000 people, and Hillary gets 300. Do the math. Hillary is going to lose and the hegemonic warmongers days will be over. America for America, white, black brown, yellow, but not green.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

They all take oaths, Hillary was never supposed to use her office for profit or in exchange for political or financial favors, she violated that oath and did it again when she left her emails and servers exposed for anyone to hack into them. That alone should disqualify her, if not for the presidency, then at the very least, her security clearance.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

"Hillary is going to lose and the hegemonic warmongers days will be over."

Hillary losing is an unsafe assumption. Trump making it to November isn't guaranteed. The idea that Trump will end the warmongering of the US is based on what?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

But Hillary should be enjoying herself, she has 98% of the media on her side of course shes got the media on her side, with Trumps continued insults of different groups and races and lack of any real policies who can blame them. Even the most hardcore in the republican party can see Trump is a lost cause, time to cut him loose and get somebody who can actually structure a sentence together without it filled with hate and innuendo.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

So 9 thousand people show up to support Trump in Pennsylvania and all 9000 are racist uneducated pigs. Do you lefties ever realize it when you write lies?

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

But that's the problem, the media should cover both candidates fairly, good or bad, they shouldn't favor one candidate over the other or attack one more over the other, no matter what, if your bias and do it, then you shouldn't be in the media or even work in journalism.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

But that's the problem, the media should cover both candidates fairly, good or bad but if you continue to spew hate and racist ideas it only natural for civilised people to distance themselves from that. If Trump could make some serious policies and rally people together with hope instead of hate then im sure the medias support would flock to him. As it stands now hes just fodder for jokes a ridicule, of his own making.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

"Frustration abundant"

The latest Rasmussen poll shows Hillary with 43% to The Donald's 40%, with Gary Johnson taking 8% and Jill Stein 2%.

This is not a comfortable lead for Hillary, as it's within the margin for error, plus, the vast majority of election related Youtube comments favor The Donald over Hillary. But all this is BS, Hillary, in spite of being the biggest liar and the most corrupt candidate in hstory, will win the general election in a landslide, right?

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Serrano: "The latest Rasmussen poll shows Hillary with 43% to The Donald's 40%, with Gary Johnson taking 8% and Jill Stein 2%."

Hahaha! The Rasmussen poll! Classic. Meanwhile, back in reality, Mitch McConnel has just admitted that the GOP is likely to lose the Senate majority, and Paul Ryan is in talks to make deals with Hillary Clinton. The rats are jumping ship while you are busy trying to scamper on board Serrano, for a candidate a few months ago you didn't care about. You've been watching way too much Lumpy on Faux News... and the only part worse than that is that you're gobbling it up.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

But that's the problem, the media should cover both candidates fairly, good or bad, they shouldn't favor one candidate over the other or attack one more over the other, no matter what,

Tell me: How is the media behind the GOP's utter frustration with Donald Trump? Are Republicans failing to watch enough FOX news? Have they slipped up somewhere and allowed truth to enter their bubble?

3 ( +5 / -2 )

GOP is likely to lose the Senate majority Maybe this will straighten them out. I'm fine with GOP members, just not the Jesus Freaks who think the earth was created 2,300 years ago and Jesus himself wrote the constitution (and they do believe these points literally). I miss the GOP from decades ago. Maybe this will help bring this back. And the GOP is screwed up. And it's so funny that they blame everything on Hillary and CNN (what are Republicans making mistakes with their TV dial?).

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Presuming to sleep walk into a Trump lose would be a costly mistake for Clinton and Co. Nothing can be taken for granted by her or the Democrats. They need to fight it out to the end and mount the best campaign possible rather than rely on Trump to shoot himself in the foot.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

GOP could be near breaking point with Trump

A little bit too late for that. Trump being able to enter the race should've been the breaking point.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Well I'm guessing most conservatives here stick to the usual websites and don't venture too far out. Anything you know about the "mainstream media" is what you've been told in the bubble. And we all know that none of you do independent research.

This is similar to the "political correctness" idiocy, some non-defined enemy that has no spokesperson or response and is somehow bringing about the end of the republic (unless you vote for Trump who will save us). It's just some made up boogeyman used to scare low information voters.

Last I checked the conservative media empire was alive and well. Listening to bubble dwellers talk about media manipulation is about as pathetic as it gets. You have a name for a reason.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Donald Trump is the voice of the independent thinker, those actually paying attention.

If by "independent thinker," you mean a man whose mind runs free from all logical restraints, then "yeah, OK." Trump's mind will have him say crazy things one day, double up on them the next, and then proclaim he was just being "sarcastic." That has to be frustrating to sane people within the GOP trying to keep to some semblance of a coherent strategy.

Those of us actually paying attention witness an alarming percentage of shameless, truth-averse Americans who have finally mustered enough social-media communications savvy to foist a shameless, bigoted, truth-averse candidate on the rest of the country. Decent Americans are now delivering their verdict. It's not going to be pretty.

The shameless ones are going to start to scurry like rats looking for a way out of a sinking ship -- as they concoct loony conspiracies of how things were "rigged."

He didn't know the Russians were already in Ukraine. He doesn't sound like someone who pays much attention to anything.
