I genuinely hope he is found innocent (even though he may not be). Given the alternative that that country faced he did what needed doing. He saved far, far more lives than he took. It was a dirty war & could only have been won by fire against fire.

As I said at the beginning, I’m innocent

Then why did he run back to Japan?

You could argue that about Saddam. El Presedente needs to try on a rope.

No you couldn’t argue that & if you knew more about the subject you would know that. I spent time in the country during this period, which I am sure you didn’t. I never said Fujimori was an innocent man, but given what he was up against he did what he had to & wasn’t as bad as he could have been or as bad as many others would have been. This really isn’t a simple black & white issue.

Fujimori should have stayed in Japan and not have flown there. How possibly could he become president again while Peruvian government was against him over murder and kidnapping cases. I was sure he would be arrested there and would never become president again. At least he was allowed to stay in Peru anyway he would be in jail for 30 years. He would be ended up in there. No parole.

He will go to prison yes, but he will only stay there for as long as it takes to get his daughter elected & then he will be pardoned & leave the country.
