After 10 years in Afghanistan and eight years in Iraq, Americans have war fatigue syndrome. I think we all deserve clarity on this issue rather than a vague answer. Politicians keeps saying "for the safety of American people", but does it make any difference if we just left libya alone? History has shown that no fly zone never worked. Then what? Send ground forces and esclate the problem for a prolong war? The majority of Americans don't want any part of a third war in a Muslim country, spending another billions of dollars. No wonder Russians didn't send any planes.

Yes, this prolonged war will equal more deaths than otherwise would have been. Of those deaths, there will be armed rebels who were previously the marching civilians that were touted to be "saved" from "atrocity." That is not exactly saving civilians.

Other nations have to evaluate each event carefully and not just follow the trends of the rich and powerful. Wrong is wrong no matter who or how many join in.

Instead of bombing Libya, they might have added up all the projected war costs and, in the event that the Libyan leader did not commit atrocity, donate that amount of money to Japan's recovery. ^_^

Hope this ends well at least. Moving on.

Gaddafi is not going to roll over, and the West is now embroiled in another open-ended muslim civil war, where they disliked by all parties and have not exit strategy. And the money to pay for it they have to borrow from China, in addition.

This is the "hope and change" people were cheering for???

"Gaddafi is not going to roll over"

No, he's going to be rolled over, or bombed, or shot, sooner or later.
