Um, the pier in New York that is. The article does not say it, but the event actually started as a riot in 1969, I think it was. So a little violence at these things is not surprising.

It is nice to see that Constance found a great place to party after all. I would say that this beats a prom in some little Mississippi high school.

"Gay pride"? That term always makes me laugh. You never hear the term "heterosexual pride". What's there to be proud of? If I was a man who preferred physical relationships with men (and I don't) I sure as hell wouldn't be bragging about it.
