    Well, where's Jimmy boy?

  • sabiwabi at 12:32 PM JST - 13th June

the army denied any involvement, saying it could have been an accidental explosion.

The Israelis usually (always?) deny everything, until faced with irrefutable proof, at which point they say "ooops, it was a mistake". When will the world wake up and finally do something about this terrible Israeli regime and help out the Palestinians, who have suffered terribly for over 6 decades. So many Palestinians are being blown to pieces by the constant attacks from the Israelis.

    sabiwabi,

I have no idea what you are talking about. Whenever Israel has attacked Gaza, they have been pretty straight forward about the attacks. From the Israeli point of view, they feel they have to the right to attack Gaza when they feel threatened.

My response to you is: when will Hamas finally realize they will never get the country they want and deserve if they don't give up ideas of temporary calm and work for lasting and serious peace. The same goes for extremists in Israel.

Israel has been overstepping its boundaries a little to far a little too long. Their government condones the action of violent settlers who illegally occupy Palestinians territory and beat up peaceful civilians. Seemingly unreasonable violence of Hamas is the perfect understandable response vicious Israel can expect. It's about time Israel is making meaningful concessions to the people whose land they invaded and raped.

    presto345,

Both side need to make serious concessions. You have a very serious point with regard to Israel's need to control its settlers' actions. However, I fail to see how Hamas' and other militant positions have help the Palestinians achieve either their country or any kind of real peace.

Their hatred for the Israelis is deeply rooted and understandably so, which does not justify their reciprocating violence.

    "Well, where's Jimmy boy?"

Probably working on a message of condolence to Hamas on their loss.

I just had to respond. So, you are saying the Israelis should just sit back and let themselves get blown up?

The hatred deeply rooted my friend goes back a long way before the so-called Palestinians ever even came to be.

You know, some people on both sides hate each other. So? When will it end? Does Hamas think Israel will disappear? It is unrealistic. What would be more realistic is to start by making Gaza a peaceful, law-abiding place for Palestinians to live. Then they should work on peace with Israel and stop this nonsense. It is getting them nothing but misery (except for the Hamas leadership who have enough protection and food etc to let things stay the way they are for a long time).

You had to respond. I was saying ... Read again please before firing off a response. Do not put words into my mouth. I said Hamas was not justified in their responses to Israeli violence. And if you want to lecture on so-called Palestinians, lecture me on so-called Israelis too - please.

The story is pretty specific and the violence in this particular case is 100% attributed to the Palestinians, both against the Israelis and their own people. Dragging in 6 decades of history just to you can include Israeli guilt is absurd. If you can't look at a situation like this and say that the Palestinians screwed up then you really are pretty far gone.

Admit it, Sabi. Tell us that in this one specific incident the Palestinians are to blame. Take the first step towards credibility. You'll be a better man for it and people will respect your opinion more.

Presto - The Muslim Arabs were massacring the "Infidel" Jews long before there was even a state of Israel. Their hatred of the Infidel is deeply rooted in the Koran.

skip, So, you are saying the Palestinians should just sit back and let themselves get blown up?

Actually, that seems to be what you are saying, rather constantly. In addition, in this case, according to Hamas themselves, it seems that they blew themselves up.

The only answer if for Hamas to realize that they have no other choice other than to make peace with Israel.
