Good to see such a large response from europe and middle east. Have not heard anything from the usa, canada or austealia yet and hope they put some supplies and docots on the ground there soon. From the few weeks I spent in Kathmandu it was an eye opener compared to living in japan or my home country the USA. Structures a not well built and primarily made from brick, stone and concrete because wood is scarce. At least the airport is open so quickly but you need aviation fuel which may be in short supply or supplies damaged, perhaps the USA can fly in a tanker if the runway is long enough. Its not so much the landing at Kathmandu, the city sits in a valley and aircraft that cant climb quickly enough to make it over the surrounding mountains need to circle and gain altitude first.

Humanity in general is very good. We just are inundated with the negative news so much we loose faith in common people. If only we could change all that negative news.
