lol, no surprise here. The health care bill screwed over pretty much everyone. Including Doctors. Fewer doctors, more patients, lower quality. Hooray for English/Canadian style health care, where everything and everyone is covered... eventually. But nothing is done quickly or well. One wonders where the Dems are going to go to get decent health care, now that they've screwed over the American system.

Molier and the rest of the Americans that don't like your health care situation PLEASE LEAVE Canada, UK. France, and whoever else out of your crap!

If those of you who are against government health care cannot manage to find arguments against it other then entreatingly attacking others with often proven falsehoods or extreme exceptions that is your problem!

In all the countries you keep attacking the population live longer have a better general health and really don't care what the heck you do to yourselves so leave us out!

We need Marines and soldiers to fight a war. As unsavory as war is, we get the numbers.

Now we need doctors. People will take up the jobs. I'm not worried. < :-)

So you are free to slag off the US but we cannot point out what a disaster 'free health care ' has been in the other advanced nations? You are pretty funny man.

Moderator: Readers, please keep the discussion civil and stay on topic. References to other countries' health care systems are not relevant.

Sorry, did you say proven falsehoods? Whats proven false? The extremely poor quality of health care in both Canada and England? Sorry, there have been numerous stories on this very subject. For years, people have come from those countries to the US to get quality treatment. So comparing the soon to be poor quality of health care in America, with the already bad health care elsewhere, is completely on subject.

If only Obama had been willing to allow America to be left out of that 'socialist' crap care, we'd all be better off.

Molenir - "health care bill screwed over pretty much everyone. Including Doctors. Fewer doctors, more patients, lower quality."

It's amazing you can't see it: there'll be a massive increase in demand for doctors' services, which mean more jobs for more doctors.

Under the previous system, Americans would have been taken for an even longer ride by the insurance companies.

Nice to have a change although some conservatives are still fiercely resisting the idea of providing 30 million more of their fellow citizens - including many children - with health coverage.

Ah, thank you. More work for doctors, who are already not being compensated properly. Look at Massachusetts for example, the number of doctors has fallen dramatically since Romneycare passed. Did you even read this article? Medicare reimburses doctors less then their costs, meaning that doctors cannot afford to treat medicare patients. This situation is going to worsen under the health care bill. Sushi, you seem like a fairly bright guy, but your blindness to all the bad thats coming for America, makes me happy you live in Japan, and not the US.

You didn't say this right. Forcing 30 million more people to buy health insurance, most of whom didn't want to buy it at all. The real question is, how many people really needed the health care bill? Most people in America had health care. They had good health care. Everyone who didn't could still get emergency treatment paid for by the taxpayers. Most of those who didn't have health care before, were either illegals, or people who could afford it, but didn't want to bother. Only a very small number of the 30 million additionally covered really needed coverage. And already things are going downhill, with 5 big companies taking hits because of their health care plans. The only question is, whether or not these companies are going to have to file for bankruptcy in order to renegotiate their union contracts, and void out their current health care coverage.
