Another sad chapter in the annals of the US military.

You watch... someone will come on here and claim that it's "not their fault" and that they were "under a lot of stress due to war", etc. etc. These men are sick, and no better than the terrorists they proclaim to be fighting. I hope they go away for life, and then some.

Terrible stuff, no matter who is doing it;no matter who is driven nuts by an asymmetrical war where you face an enemy who uses children as human shields and hides among innocents. American, Canadian and NATO troops have all been implicated in incidents like this. I hope the guilty are removed from the good, honest and brave.

Even military law says innocent until proven guilty.

It looks like a pretty sure bet that at least one is guilty as hell to me. If Morlock's interview evidence is admitted into court, it is pre-meditated murder to the worst degree. These group of savages have gone over to the dark side and how the US military punishes is a reflection of their moral compass.

Prosecutors have also alleged that members of the platoon mutilated Afghan corpses and even collected fingers and other body parts, and that some posed for photos with Afghan corpses. These soldiers sound VERY GUILTY to me too, but war is HELL and these guys have already gone through hell and back and they must be INSANE, yes these guys are off their rockers and you can only kill so many people, terrorists, innocent civilians, your buddies, etc..it is the sign of INSANITY caused by this stupid war in this stupid far off country that we should let only NATO there, the Europeans owe us, for kicking out the German Nazis. >

I cannot fathom killing another person for sport or entertainment. I am simply not wired to think and act that way. If this is true, I hope they are tried in Afghanistan.

Why would you question somebody with a brain injury while they were under the influence of multiple medications? It's like the investigators are begging to have the statements thrown out.
These killings appear to be more motivated by sheer hatred than for entertainment.

You've got it the wrong way. This is about an American soldier on trial for killing innocent Afghans. It's not a Muslim on trial for terrorism. You'll probably notice the difference.
