I agree with many here that Gov. Bill Richardson would be the best fit for Sec. of State.

For selfish comedy value, I'd like to see Sen. Clinton as the Attorney General. I'll bet that would pucker a few neo-con sphincters, especially with President-elect Obama promising that he would look into the corruption of the current administration. If for no other reason, it would make for great TV. C-Span would become a major player in the Nielson ratings!

yeah, he can keep an eye on her there and she can't make a mess for him in the Senate.

They should put Colin Powell back in just to spite W.

Two thumbs up! a black president, a white vicepresident and a femal secretary, what a great composition! nobody can complaint about it.

What difference does it make? Shouldn't the selection of our political leaders be based on merit, and not their gender or skin color?

But her experience is far better then his in the foriegn relations department.

Very true. A sad commentary indeed.

Hillary will be a much better Sec. of State then Condi Rice. When Condi Rice was head of the Security Council she did not take the right steps to stop 9/11 even though she was briefed. As Sec. of State Condi just did the NeoCon dance and sang the NeoCon songs.

"Hillary will be a much better Sec. of State than Condi Rice"

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Thanks for the knee-slapper, Donkey!

"she did not take the right steps to stop 9/11"

She inherited a poor system from the Clinton administration.

Every diplomatic relationship is worse since Rice stepped into the role of Sec. of State. Her feeble attempts at a Middle East solution were fruitless. N. Korea has advanced significantly over the great job of containment that the Clinton administration maintained. Iran the same thing. What happened to the act that the Bush administration put on that the surge in Iraq was to further political solutions. Why didn't Condi facilitate that? I guess another Clinton will have to clean up another Republican nightmare.

    Helter:

You just touched a really deep philosophy problem on earth, nevertheless, many people are not as mature as you.

Just about any team will be better than the Bush team: Rumsfeld; Cheney, Rice, O'reilly.

  • Sarge at 10:33 PM JST - 15th November

"Her ( Rice's ) feeble attempts at a Middle East solution were fruitless."

Hey, is it her fault if these people hate each other?

Secretary Rice: All right, what seems to be the problem here?

Middle East person: My great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather was slandered by his great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather.

Secretary Rice: What the hell is wrong with you people?

  • Taka313 at 07:03 AM JST - 16th November

Good Donkey, I have to say I disagree. I don't know how much, if at all, condi rice had to do with it, but...because of bush's work with AIDS, there are many places in Africa (the continent, not the country ;-) ) where America's diplomatic ties are closer.

    sarge,

Even I, as someone who thinks condi's not done a good job, give her more credit than to think she would say something like, "What the hell is wrong with you people?"

That was a really dumb thing to post about someone you apparently admire.

Just when you thought it was safe to come out from the fallout shelter, it looks like we're in for eight more years of Clinton after all.

    What...a freakin' surprise.

    Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama/Clinton.

  • 76waystofly at 01:07 PM JST - 16th November

God, they can't be serious...four more years of listening tours and "I'm gonna withhold comment", "I'm not gonna speculate," "I can't recall," and personal business?

    Change. Right...

  • Sarge at 09:08 PM JST - 16th November

    taka313 - I was kidding.

By the way, you really think Hillary Clinton would be a better secretary of state than Condi Rice? I don't.

  • powderfinger at 09:24 PM JST - 16th November

Obama is clever. Keeping his enemies close. As Sec of State HillBillary are out of the running in 2012.
