What an embarrassment Bubba has become.

Unique in US history is this ongoing spectacle of aged democrats Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton. Like Lefty leaders of banana republics or of spectacular failures of social engineering like Cuba, they just can't resist the urge to play president for life.

Hillary is scary delusional - God forbid that she should ever become President. Her as President and Bill as "First Lady" would be a scary sight indeed. It is obvious who wears the pants in that household.

Hillary has silenced more than Bubba. Apparently, "Shut up, you!" is often barked shrilly at her security detail. Bubba must have pretty thick skin to be verbally assaulted by HRC, effectively silenced, and just smile right back, when in public.

It certainly was yelled at the protective detail when Bubba was prez... She thought the military were her aides to be ordered around on little errands like retrieving Chelseas school books she left behind on a trip to Camp David.

It's almost sad watching how pathetic the Democrat party has become. The once-venerable Lefty rag New Republic now has writers who are insinuating that Hillary Clinton, who coined the phrase "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy," is now part of it:

They believe it because it is true. A president never becomes a private person again. This is true of all presidents, not just Democrats. It may be less observable among those presidents who are suffering from senility, however.

No... He is "FORMER President Clinton". His wife, who ALSO thinks she is "former President Clinton" and him share one little attribute that they other former presidents, senile or not, don't. These TWO STILL believe they are ACTIVELY in control (her more than him, surprisingly!). And with the politicial spin doctors she has, it's no wonder.

They are only "Mr. President", even if they are formally President, when addressed in person (out of "respect", I'm assuming, for the position they held, not the job they did!). Their ACTUAL title is FORMER.

Yes and no.

Of course Bill is a former president. That, or ex-president is the way he is referred to in the press. It's a great help to those who don't rightly know who the current sitting president may actually be.

However, I don't think Bill and Hillary believe that they are actively in control. That seems rather more like a claim that you are inventing because you do not like what they are doing. I don't think you have a shred of evidence to substantiate your stated opinion of what they actually believe.

I didn't think that "former" was an actual title. I thought Bill's actual title--to the extent that he has one--is "honorable". (I bet that horrifies you.) As you say, "Mr. President" when applied to Bill is a term of respect for the position that he had and does not mean that he is still the actual president.

Nonetheless, presidents do not retire and they do not lose the gravitas of office. They continue to receive Secret Service protection and there is no escape from the office that they once held.
