The fundies in the GOP and the Knesset must be terrified at peace breaking out.

Here's to rapprochement with the Iranians. Just after Cuba. Bin Laden dead. Legal weed, health care for all and gays treat equally. Imagine what president Obama might have achieved had the Insane Party tirelessly blocking everything he tried to do....

They are more terrified that we have a president that will give concessions to a country that sponsors, trains and funds terrorists and asks for nothing in return, absolutely nothing and taking their word face value. Given their history, they both have every reason to be nervous, add to that Israel knows what Iran's true intentions are, not to mention they live next door practically to the Jewish state.

Ahh, Cuba, NO concessions as well, no mention of releasing political prisoners or paying their people in USD instead of worthless Pesos. OBL is one win, give him that. Legal weed is something to brag about? Really? Healthcare with rising costs that the Middle class have to pay more higher premiums and once their newly adjusted rates come back will be angrier about this catastrophe. Gays? This is what gets me about the left, priorities. Libs have their priorities so screwed up and make things that are not of immediate importance.

Imagine what president Obama might have achieved had the Insane Party tirelessly blocking everything he tried to do....

Imagine....Thank God for the GOP and keeping this idiot in check and holding his feet to the fire.

Bass,

I don't read your posts. Any chance of condensing them to help me scroll past faster?

Thanks

Sorry, guess you will have to do your best to squint over my comments. But I will say this, I do hope that Netanyahu will persuade congress to keep the sanctions in place and once Iran gives up some concessions, then we can take the next step, but they need to show proof that they are serious first.

There you go, short and sweet.

For the United States, the goal is to extend to at least a year the period that Iran would need to surreptitiously “break out” toward nuclear weapons development. Daryl Kimball of the Washington-based Arms Control Association said that with the IAEA’s additional monitoring, the deal taking shape leaves “more than enough time to detect and disrupt any effort to pursue nuclear weapons in the future.”

bass -- do you ever read the entire articles or just automatically react with your anti-Obama/FOX sound-bite rants? We'll have a one-year window to take action should Iran start back down the road towards developing weapons. How is that "giving concessions'?

As opposed to our "friends" in the area like the Saudi's, UAE, Egypt, etc. who play both sides of the fence and undercut our efforts in other ways. Right? When will you neo-cons realize that the Mid-East is a quagmire of cultural, historical, religious and racial tensions, and is not solved by the dumbing it down to "good versus evil" thinking of George W. and his band of merrymen like Dick Cheney? That was a disaster in Iraq (still is). I thank God we have a President who is smart enough to understand the nuances, and deals with them, rather than looking for photo ops, and proclaiming "Mission Accomplished". Moving Iran's nuclear ambitions from the front burner to the back burner can only be a good thing, and certainly more than George W. ever accomplished in the region.

Sure I do, but I'm also not going to tow the liberal msnbc cheer leading crowd of oozing Obama lovers just for the sake of it.

Here is where I start to yawn and roll my eyes, so please when has Obama EVER made a promise on ANY threat? Didn't he promise a Red Line for Syria and for Iran and just last week tried to sell the American people on he'd take action against ISIS? Ever last threat of Obama's has proved to be empty and hollowed out. If Obama were a president that we could trust including his allies like Israel, there'd be NO need for Netanyahu to show up, but as such, he has NO choice, so let's see how far he can get in persuading congress to keep the sanctions in place until further notice.

The countries that you mentioned are NOT trying to bomb or destroy the US even if they play both sides of the fence. Which is entirely different from what Iran wants. Now if you want to believe the talking points from people like....Harfe..Ahem, go right ahead.

When will you neo-cons

I'm not a Neo-con, just food for thought.

realize that the Mid-East is a quagmire of cultural, historical, religious and racial tensions, and is not solved by the dumbing it down to "good versus evil" thinking of George W. and his band of merrymen like Dick Cheney?

Exactly, which is why Obama doesn't get it, not only can he not call the terrorists out for what they really are and is too afraid of hurting their feelings over protecting American citizens and not listening to his military advisors or Mid East experts, which is in part his doing as to why we are in this predicament. Don't be a partisan, if you want to go off on Bush, at least admit how badly Obama screwed up when it comes especially to foreign policy.

That was a disaster in Iraq (still is).

So that means for the next 4 to 8 years we will have to listen to the next president talk bad about Obama? But then on the other hand, there will be enough stories to tell about Obama and the blunders he created and left NO stone unturned.

I thank God we have a President who is smart enough to understand the nuances, and deals with them, rather than looking for photo ops, and proclaiming "Mission Accomplished".

I thank God that we have 695 more days to go until the madness of Obama comes to an end. Don't forget after the surge and when Obama took office, he and Biden bragged about how much of a success Iraq is and now we can move our troops out (without a SOFA agreement) So the Obama admin. wasted NO time in taking credit for something they didn't do and now that everything is going his way, he wants to take credit and a bow. Partisan hypocrites doesn't even begin to enter the mind.

Moving Iran's nuclear ambitions from the front burner to the back burner can only be a good thing, and certainly more than George W. ever accomplished in the region.

You can also make the argument, that if Obama would have listened to his military council and acted followed their recommendations. We wouldn't be in this mess right now with the middle east. But as we all know, King Obama knows everything and the rest of us mere pathetic mortals don't know anything.
