Geez! If the braniacs at Home Land Security do not understand how people are using Twitter?? Facebook? JT for us hooked to Japan Today? Wow! Mr.Obama had better find better workers who can READ Arabic and understand what people are writing about back and for on the internet or we will have another 9/11 on American soil!

U.S. needs to do a better job of monitoring domestic social networking activity.

So that the US will never experience its own people-generated uprising?

That's how this sounds. Social media led to the downfall of Mubarak and others; we don't want that here, so we need to monitor it.

"See Something, Say Something" campaign that encourages citizens to report suspicious activity.

I remember a trailer park mom calling the Feds on three medical doctors because of something she heard. The doctors ended up losing their residency and had to deal with the Feds for several months before everything was straightened out. Of course, the docs were all dark-skinned as opposed to the trailer park mom.

Dear borscht, it may sound racist to call the Feds on dark skinned medical doctors, but hell I am Mexican, not pale at all, get stopped by cops in all the airports I guess I fit the AlQaeda description, but I would much rather that they stop me and anybody that MAY BE A TERRORIST and not get blown to bits up in a 747 jumbo jet than worry about trying to be politically correct and all that other BS. So in my book better to be safe than sorry, and better that Homeland Security worry about stopping the next 9/11 because all it takes is one dedicated fool to get on board a plane, light up their C4 etc..explosives and then we all become fish bait if we are lucky to be flying over the ocean.

CRAP!!!!! All of my posts on Obama have been being monitored. I hear a knock at the door... If I dont make it back somebody call the cops. Oh, that wont work. Guess I am screwed!

National Terrorism Advisory System that replaces the color coded alert system with one that provides more information about a threat, and a “See Something, Say Something” campaign that encourages citizens to report suspicious activity.

Bet they start with the kids. Have seen this before, little place called Germany in the 30s/40s.

Gotta watch the domestic insurgents least they rise against the machine. Wondering if we need to be worried that there may be a bit of reluctance to leave 1600 Penn Ave and a little something to help postpone that.

Obama expanded the Patriot Act and signed it into effect remotely, with an auto-pen, so technically, he isn't really a fascist or anything.
