The jihad for islamic rule has been going on for decades in Mindanao. This hotel bombing is not unsual, alas... unusual is only that this news made it to to the international media. Usually they ignore the violence against the remaining Christians in Mindanao.

Thanks WilliB! I do know about the Muslim insurgents down there in Mindanao, and they are being funded by their neighbors, say Malaysia, Indonesia and further away out to Saudi Arabia etc.. The USA must step in and give our Pilipino amigos a helping drone missile or two or way more and also let those funding these rebels in Mindano that the USA has a few missiles for them too.

Yes. Must be an editorial oversight. The politicially correct phrase in articles like this is something like "a man with a Philippine passport"...
