    Police say the motorcyclist, Li Guochao, 31, had been riding without a license and crashed while trying to flee from the checkpoint, Xinhua reported.

    Somehow I think there must be more to it than that for people to attack the police, like maybe the reason he crashed his bike was loss of conciousness due to a cop pumping a bullet into his brain.

    Attacking the police might also be a symptom of laboring under oppression for so long, like the guy who stood in front of the tank in Tianamen square.
