Don't worry, New Orleans, the Republicans will party in your honor, just like they did during Katrina.
This is what John McCain and George W. Bush were doing on that fateful day three years ago:

Hey yabits, are Nagin's kids still going to school in Dallas? And where's Blanco? Did such a good job, she got re-elected, did she?

WhiteHawk: You seem to want to deflect everything away from the people who were eating cake and shilling dollars for the Republican Party while the poor people of New Orleans were drowning three years ago. Look at the picture of that happy couple sharing their cake.
I never defended the performance of Nagin or Blanco, by the way, so you can take your straw man and beat him in front of a more interested crowd.
I do find it ironic that some on the religious right-wing were praying that rain would come and spoil the Democrats' last triumphant night in Denver. Now it looks like Gustav will hit just when the Republicans kick off their party.

You don't defend them, but you consistently "forget" to include them in your blame game. If you don't name them, you don't blame them. Trying to say you don't defend them is a cop-out.
Was that directed at me?
... which they turned into a fundraiser for the people of New Orleans and the private aid agencies. Contrast that with the democrats who partied on a scale of the Chinese Olympics ceremonies and worshipped their chosen one.
