Everybody KNOWS that if you take drugs or traffic them in INDONESIA, sooner or later you will HANG!! Are we supposed to feel sorry for these drug traffickers from Australia???

Yes, we are.

Prasetyo said there is no excuse for drug dealing and that he hopes the executions will have a deterrent effect.

Apparantly its not deterring anything. Which leads me to the conclusion that the real drug traffickers and power behind the smuggling are just using random people who travel through the country and just happen to sneak stuff into luggage before people even arrive in the country.

I'm pretty sure there are more than enough people from outside Indonesia that know good and well not to allow anyone you don't know near your luggage, or carry something through for another person. How stupid does one have to be to be caught with narcotics there?

Aside from that, Indonesia does need to learn to be more merciful in their justice system depending on the extent of involvement in a crime. Just saying, "death" all the time only shows how little time they take to actually thoroughly investigate drug cases and get to the actual ring-leader.
