There shouldn't be any trial at all. They should have been allowed to go back the way they entered.

But if there's going to be a trial, get it over with. Fine them and send them home. < :-)

Illegitimate regimes do like their little show-trials.

Heh, I almost feel sorry for these hikers who have more than likely done nothing more than choose a monumentally stupid place in the world to go hiking.

My sympathy levels are right up there with people who surprisingly find themeselves kidnapped and held for ransom after yachting off the coast of Somalia.

How stupid are these Americans to be hiking around the Iraq/Iran border. I believe a Darwin award is in order.

lol. Agree totally. I feel sorry for them, but have to wonder, what the hell were they thinking going there? People like this, deserve the Darwin award for rank stupidity.
