Killing is wrong, but this happens in many countries including china and America. This is only news because some people want to make Iran out as if it is evil.

Any nation who hangs people for adultery has serious political issues to straighten out.
I guess its all done though with some moderation and in the name of god with humiility, being they are muslim

Capital punishment should be banned. It's just common sense.

In Iran, death by hanging typically involves either the use of a hydraulic crane or a low platform to ensure a slower, more painful death. A strong thin rope or steel cable in the form of a noose is placed around the neck to crush the larynx, inflicting as much pain as possible and prolonging the moment of death. Islamic law allows the family of a victim to spare the life of the perpetrator. In most such cases, the condemned’s family must pay diyya, or blood money. Iranian laws dictate that a woman's "blood money" is half that of a man. If a man kills a woman, he will not be executed, even if convicted, unless the woman's family can pay half of his blood money in advance. According to Iranian law there needs to be a complaint from either the parents or the children of the victim to execute the prisoner -- not from the wife. (from the internet)

Not following you Crazy Joe. Are you saying the man executed for killing the woman was only executed because her family paid blood money?
Because before that, you indicated the only way to avoid execution was for the perp's family to pay the victim's family. So I am right confused.

Not too sure about Crazy Joe and his Iranian info but one good news I read the other day is that they have a nice tall mountain out in Iran, and they get convicted child molesters up there, read them their miranda rights or something to that effect, then make sure these guys are still alive, because they have already gotten a public good old fashioned horse whippin then back to that mountain, well, they PUSH them off the tallest mountain their in old Iran also known as Persia, right off the mountain, on to the rocks etc..to let other perverts know what will happen to them if they get caught for feeling up kids etc..I think this would stop a lot of scum bags here in Japan, the USA, the EU, maybe even in Mexico from doing horrible things to little innocent children, so Iran aint all that bad right??

Sorry but I don't have the facts to these hangings so I wouldn't know.

Elbuda Mexicano,
I suspect there are no pedophiles in Iran, then, after the first bunch was pushed off the mountain, given this logic. That the Prophet had sex with a nine-year-old might decrease pedophilia in Iran, too?
Also, I believe adultery is punishable by death only if you happen to be a woman, even if you were raped.
