Totally brainwashed by radical religious clerics. How to moderate clerics react to these radicals?.Do we see this radicalism within the Christian religeous teachers?.Is Islam so different as a religion?.My beliefs as a christian were not forced on me.Why don't the religious leaders of ALL denominations come together and find a solution to all these conflicts that use religion as an excuse, the world is tired of religion being used to pit man against against man. This isn't something new ,take a look at our history books, religion has been used for centuries to fight wars. BUT IS IT THE TRUE REASON, that is the question we have to ask.

Extremity at it's worst, so to speak.

Get rid of religion and there will still be war and radicals. Religion is a vector for war. Get rid of it and another will be found.

[some chanting calls for the execution of opposition leaders] -- So much for the religion of peace. And some of these nutbags are ready to carry out suicide attacks to protect their totalitarianism. Complete idiots that will bring us to the next world war. We are at war with these religious nuts and even in our own countries.

Good thing Cheney is not a follower of the Prince of Peace.

They did not go out in support, but were rather told to go out and support, as the govt. has something on each and everyone of them...their families. Families can be easily eliminated.

If I had a nickel for every time an Iranian hardliner called for someones death... These guys always call for the deaths of their enemies. That's what they do.
And yes Minello, Christianity also creates this hard line. Look at the anti-abortion nuts out there. Do you think this isn't the same kind of nuttiness?

In some respects, I suppose the rhetoric is the same. The difference is that anyone threatening to kill an abortion doctor gets thrown in jail, not made a "supreme leader" of whatever mostly Christian country they come from.

This is how one can tell a society is considered "uncivilised" when groups of religious zealots can openly call out for the murder of others because they don't agree with how the government is run. Another word for this is corruption
