U.S. and French intelligence officials have known about the facility for several months, the source said. When Iran discovered that Western nations had knowledge of the facility, it sent the letter to the International Atomic Energy Agency. Iran claims its nuclear enrichment program is intended for peaceful purposes...

Ah, must have slipped their minds when talking to the IAEA. Not that they'd be interested in secret nuclear facilities on military bases or anything.

SuperLib It is interesting that Iran informed the IAEA only after they discovered that Western nations had knowledge of the facility. It makes you wonder if there is anything else that they think we are not aware of.

Iran... is constructing a second uranium enrichment plant

What's that sound? Israeli jets warming their engines.

So, my question remains, why should Israel be so happy about their enemy having this? It's not like you can wait to be hit and then hit back in defense when talking about this.

And that the U.S. under Bush knew about it for years but said nothing." Yeah, but you would have said it was a lie.. Besides, its better coming out under Obama.

I guess it's time to see if Russia really is on board with more sanctions." If it benefits them, they will, if not, they won't. its that simple.

Sushi: Not manay people are noticing Iran came forward with this information

Sure, after they realized the French and Americans discovered the facility.

And that the U.S. under Bush knew about it for years but said nothing.

It's my understanding they knew about it only a few months ago...?

Why did bush and co. hide this info considering it would have strengthened their case for an invasion?

I know there were top generals in his administration who threatened rebellion if an attack on Iran was ordered.

After all the lies that bush had told the world about Iraq nobody believed him, even when he was making direct accusations. And he did. At the time he was declaring it, they weren't very far along and his information was dated at best. With all the misdirection that his administration sent the information gathering agencies, they had to get rid of his clutches.

I'm hearing that Richard Clark in the information gathering and analyzing stream again. The FBI and CIA are doing their jobs again. And it's creditable information that they are delivering. < :-)

And it's creditable information that they are delivering." Ok, so let's forget Bush for a sec, I know it's hard for you and Sushi, but just for a sec. So you are willing to give an ear to the the CIA, and you think they are telling the truth. so, what should be the best action a. wait until they do something, b. beg them to stop making, c. attack them now before they can attack us, d. Let them shoot Israel, let Israel go alone and hit them back.

Look forward to the day Israel takes out Iran's nuclear facilities. One less Islamic terrorist regime to worry about...at least for a while anyway.

Bah.....anyone still wishing to give Iran the benefit of the doubt over their "peaceful" nuclear programme is out of their minds.

Madverts - why? Do you think hypocrisy is OK, as long as it is displayed by western nations?

Every party in this nuclear argument is a hypocrite.
