Our amigos out in Teheran must want to grab some international attention, kind of the same modus operandi, our amigos out in Pyongyang, in the DPRK, also known as North Korea. IMHO.

I wonder if the Iranians would actually be stupid enough to launch one of these at Israel.

No need. They'll just ship more powerful rockets to Hamas.

Iran seeks to fulfill Hitler's vision a world without Jews. That may be offensive to some but it is the simplest statement of the truth. It means that there can be no doubt that when Iranians call for the destruction of Israel they have another vision in mind as well the destruction of all Jews. While Ahmadinejad may talk of destroying Israel, he is really thinking that Iran will succeed in wiping out Judaism. That should make us think twice. If Iran did have the means would it attack Israel? We have to believe it would. (Luckily Germany has provided Israel with some submarines that are a serious deterrent. With these German subs Israel can strike back no matter what happens on land.) Which will send Iran back to the "Dark Ages".

"Iran seeks to fulfill Hitler's vision a world without Jews."
And there was me thinking they were simply trying to divert interest from a home society seething for change and sanctions that are starting to squeeeeeeeze them.

My guess, both T Mack and Madverts are both on to something, create an international scandal, kind of the way North Korea does, get regular Iranians pumped up against their mortal enemies, the Arab Sunnis, oops, the Israeli Jews, and presto magico you kill 2 birds with one stone??

How come some countries are allowed to have missiles while others aren't?

When they say 'Grand Prophet' which prophet do they mean, Ali or Mohammed, I wonder?
In the meantime 100 members out of 290 in the Irani parliament have signed a bill to close the Straits of Hormuz.

It''s ME, no, I am asking about the Shia Imam Ali, as Iran is a Shiite state.
Since they have avoided using the name Mohammed, I am wondering if Iran wishes to unite the whole Arab/Persian world under them by this avoidance, or if they secretly wish that the whole Middle East would accept the divineness of Ali, Mohammed's successor, thus by inference elevating the Shia to equal rank with the Sunni?

Yep, Cletus, I need to ask. Do you have a list handy of which countries are banned from possessing missiles? Iran's look pretty nice.

North Korea apparently for one.
Countries test-fire missiles all the time.
But when's the last time you saw the headline: Brazil test-fires a missile capable of hitting Ecuador.
Iran, test-fired a missile, big deal. Why does it have to make international headlines?

So you were talking about North Korea on a thread about Iran? And it's your understanding that North Korea is banned from possessing missiles?
