rajakumar: "Israel and Iran have no plans to attack each other, they are defending themselves and expanding military industries, to the maximum."

Well, I have no doubt that Iran is just beating its chest here and showing some of what it's got in reply to Israel's statements that it has the rights to preemptive nuclear strikes, etc., but unfortunately the nuts in command in Israel can be VERY overzealous and you never know if they'll actually launch or not, which is scary. What's more, if they did, they would just lean on the US's attack if Iraq and cite the need for 'preemptive attacks to save their country from being attacked'.

Scary stuff, but merely show for now.

Iran has never ever invaded an another country unlike USA and Israel so Iran is not a threat. Iran is merely showing that they are capable of defending itself from foreign invaders. Namely US and Israel. Eventhough the rockets can reach Europe no one thinks of Ian as a threat to Europe.

US does not have the capacity to invade Iran. Their useless millitary is only capable of invading countries which have no millitary but they cannot even do that right.

peacetoismailha, Iran has never invaded another country? hahahahahahahaha! gee, take a history lesson why don't you...they are just as meglomaniac as the States, Ottomans, Romans, French, German, Spanish, Brittish etc. Please read this...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persian_Empire

oh you are really confused. If the US could, it would wipe Iraq off the map tomorrow, and Iran, and Syria, without losing one soldier. Politics is what stops them. Nothing else can.

"Eventhough the rockets can reach Europe no one thinks of Ian as a threat to Europe."

    Even though...

Even though Iran has Russian- and North Korean-made missiles and even though Russian and North Korean technology is crap many people seem to believe Iranian missiles aimed at Tel Aviv would never ever veer off target or anything.

Iran would crush Israel. But, once they have done so, what happens?

  • Sarge at 10:27 PM JST - 9th July

    "Iran would crush Israel"

I wouldn't put a lot of money on that bet.

  • sailwind at 10:30 PM JST - 9th July

Cool, Good thing they are working on ballistic missle technology to good with that 'Peaceful Nuclear Energy Program' they so want to have.

  • sailwind at 10:32 PM JST - 9th July

Sorry typo 'to go with' but one and one makes two folks.

  • Sarge at 10:51 PM JST - 9th July

sailwind - Hey, how else are the Iranians going to deliver all those cookies and candy to Israel?

  • adaydream at 01:56 AM JST - 10th July

    Folks,

We play war games and test fire weapons all the time.

Isreal just played war games last month, showing it's strength to the world/Iran.

Iran test fires some weapons. Big deal. < :-)

US does not have the capacity to invade Iran.

First, no one is planning on invading Iran. Targeted air strikes to destroy Iran's nuclear facilities is the only thing being discussed. Secondly, the US annual military budget is $583 billion as compared to $6.3 billion for Iran. That's about one hundredth of US spending. Thirdly, the US could completely eliminate the entire country of Iran today, so I'd say the US has the advantage there as well.

The US could easily take out Iran's nuclear program, and they should.

  • Sarge at 04:25 PM JST - 10th July

Helter - Why should the U.S. have to take out Iran's nuclear facilities? The rest of the world has an interest in a nuclear-free Iran too, right?

  • rajakumar at 02:36 AM JST - 11th July

More missiles for miltary industrial complex jobs and military bullet complex jobs, going up in Iran/Middle east. Can't see anything more better in middle east, coming out from these news. Middle east nations should take those crushing blows, to the olympics and in sports.

  • Helter_Skelter at 04:19 AM JST - 11th July

    Sarge,

Why should the U.S. have to take out Iran's nuclear facilities? The rest of the world has an interest in a nuclear-free Iran too, right?

Right. I couldn't agree more. But do you really think the rest of the world is going to step up and do it? They'll let the US or Israel do their dirty work. And then publicly condemn them all the while breathing a sigh of relief. It's a sad commentary on the rest of the world.
