Last time we saw a team up like this was with Germany and Italy back in the 1940s only those leaders were a bit smarter. I can see a hollywood movie coming out about these 2. Mel Gibson will be one role but who could we get for the other?

Chavez and Ahmadinejad have the proper amount of crazy and a profound hatred of the Jewish people but they lack the organization, the military strength, the budget, and the powerful friends necessary to start anything on par with world war II. Unless variables change significantly in the near future.

Venezuela has great chocolate, women and plenty of cheap oil. Iran has??? Nice rugs, a religion that is being shoved down the throats of their citizens and oil, I guess cheap too.

Iran and Venezuela should be given the Nobel Peace Prize for not attacking other countries. They have been a major force for world peace while the American government have been pushing for never ending war.

And in the meantime powerful developed nations are establishing their own NWO to control their people. This is nothing new. A little more time and then the crap will hit the fan.

TheQuestion: they lack the organization, the military strength, the budget, and the powerful friends necessary to start anything on par with world war II.

They have oil money and a lot of it, and Russia and China will sell them anything they want. So unless oil is somehow rendered worthless in the near future, I'd take them seriously.

Why in deaths name would I take them seriously? If all they have to go on is outdated Russian and Chinese military hardware than all the better. Neither has anything vaguely resembling a missile defense grid, neither has a navy worth spitting, and their influences are localized at best. Plus, with the U.S flanking Iran on two land fronts in addition to a vast naval superiority on a third in the Gulf they wouldn't be able to do squat even if they wanted to. And if they are really stupid enough to think they can it will just give the U.S a long awaited enemy that can be destroyed through conventional warefare.

In a straight fight neither Venezuela or Iran have the population centers necessary to start an all out world war. All they can do is complain about imperialism and jews.

You don't think that Iran being on the verge of having nuclear weapons with long range missiles should be taken seriously? Frankly, I can't think of a situation in the world today that's more serious.

You don't think that Iran being on the verge of having nuclear weapons with long range missiles should be taken seriously?

As for the long range missiles we're not talking about ICBM's here but rather regional security. My only concern would be for U.S troops stationed in the area but if anybody caught even the slightest whiff of Iran screwing the pooch that bad they'd have their own satellite and a batch of Jericho 3s courtesy of Israel. It's like MAD only it just involves the Middle East. Nobody wants that, not even Iran.

When compared to a modern missile the Shahab is ponderous at best and well within the intercept speeds of U.S patriot missiles and other similar systems.

If Iran gets nukes, there's little you can do about Iran without starting a nuclear war.

I doubt Israel would allow it to go that far, they've already threatened to bomb enrichment centers.

Iran is run by fundamentist Muslims who'd have no problem being martyrs for Allah.

Problem with that is leaders never martyr themselves, they convince the young, the poor, and the stupid to do it for them.
