It's kind of expected. You piss off Iran's friends, they pitch in and help.
No different than when Afghanistan attacked the US. We retaliated and friends joined in.

Theocratic, Shiite Iran has no historical justification for pretenses to an alliance with Sunni "Palestine" but of course that little fact sails over the heads of the eager little dhimmis on the Left.
